Offline I decided to go ahead and change my avatar, since nobody has the pandemic anymore. It’s a picture of me, taken while getting in order outside for my college graduation ceremony. I think the lens flare makes it look cool.

Offline I saw this picture and I couldn’t resist… the cast from The Karate Kid reunited recently and this photo that’s my new avatar was from William Zabka’s Twitter account. (Zabka played the badass heel Johnny “Sweep the Leg” Lawrence.) Anyone who knows me knows how much I love Karate Kid (an original poster from the movie hangs proudly in my office) so when I saw that picture with Ralph Macchio, Zabka, Chad McQueen and Tony O’Dell, I had to put it here.
OK, geek-out moment over.
Not seen in the avatar but in Zabka’s picture on Twitter is also Marty Kove, who played the Cobra Kai’s mean sensei, Kreese. A friend of mine met Kove a few years ago and says he was the nicest guy you’d ever meet, a total 180 from the Kreese character.
