I am afraid I would have to agree with you, LHL. As an avatar, that would likely be a problem. While examples of “bad” language do crop up here and there across the threads, they are not overly common. I think that gif just a little too loud to be flashing away multiple times on page after page.
I figured that, that’s why I didn’t risk it. No problem!

If anyone doesn’t know what “Garfield Minus Garfield” is, it’s a website where someone takes Garfield comic strips and removes Garfield from them. Some of them are pretty funny. Here’s the most recent one, to give an example:

Offline Thanks for the heads up Necko. Had a look at some of the strips over at Garfield minus Garfield but can’t say i found it to be that good. I get the idea behind it but a lot of the humous is gone – maybe that was the point when revealing Jon’s angst and isolation.

Offline Yes, my new avatar is from “Garfield Minus Garfield.” I stumbled across that site and now it’s pretty much a go-to website from me. And if you take Garfield out, it’s all Jon’s trying and failing to cope in a world that doesn’t suit him. It’s not for everyone (like MMM), but I get exactly what the strips are saying, probably because I can relate to Jon quite easily, especially when I was single. This one is pretty accurate for me:

Thanks Ahhh Girl! I just did it today, it took me around 3 (!) hours to do it. I originally did it with the full photo but it look too squashed and there are actually some differences in angle between the two shots that the final result looked horrible, so I decided to morph them one by one. Then, I had to look in the forum here on how to upload gif images, as it didn’t let me do it by uploading it from the pc, and thanks to Parlance’s method, I could upload it! 
Another idea I had, was to do a Lennon only in his Beatles years throughout the albums (1963 to 1969) but I decided to keep the tradition of uploading gifs of the four Beatles morphing each other (from Lennon to McCartney to Harrison to Starr and repeat).
I have only uploaded four photos, except for the first one, all had been gifs made by me, throughout the four years I have been here. The first photo was Lennon in his Pepper years (that one lasted a year.) I uploaded was with A Hard Day’s Night (also a year). Then was the With The Beatles one (this one lasted two years). And now this one.
Let me take you down 'cause I'm going to...Strawberry Fields.

Just looked it up. 1984-1989 was when it was on. Those were my high school and early college years. I totally missed the Snorks. Hopefully, we will have someone who remembers them to share your joy of the show.
