So in ceramics, I have to make a thing, and represent a song by making something on each side. I was thinking about doing Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds , but I want to know what other Beatles songs you guys think would be cool.

How are you supposed to represent the song? By making something in the song? So, if you do LSD (has anyone else ever noticed that song spells out LSD…?), you have to make ceramic stars or something?
If so, what about ‘Strawberry Fields Forever ‘? It’ll be quite hard to make the gates, I suppose, but apart from that? You could do the sign, too.
Or ‘Because ‘. You could make a world and put the lyrics next to it, etc.
Can’t think of anything else for now, sorry.

You could go real creative and do “Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite” — or you could be surreal and do a Glass Onion .

There are a lot of options.. She Came In Through The Bathroom Window wouldn’t be that hard; on the other hand, there are other songs like Doctor Robert where it’s up to you to decide who he looks like.. Or to return to Abbey Road , Maxwell’s Silver Hammer .

Maybe you could do Octopus’s Garden , to give Ringo a mention. Though I kind of like the idea of Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite as stated above.

“Strawberry Fields Forever ” isn’t actually that hard to do, though if you want to do something really fun, go for “I Am The Walrus ” or “Two of Us.”
If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind that is confusing things.

Perhaps Penny Lane would be interesting, as well.

No, I’m making a box, so I would need something for the four sides, and maybe the top if I want to do that too.
So, for example, if I were to do LitSwD, on one side I could make a boat on a river, and other side could be rocking horse people, another one kalidescope eyes, and then, obviously, a girl in the sky with diamonds. I need a song I could draw out like that.

Oh, yeah, sorry, I wrote that a while ago, but just clicked send now since I had no signal for a while.
I like the idea of doing Mr. Kite, thanks. I think I could do that.
There’s a kid in my class e who’s also doing LitSwD, which is why I wanted to switch songs. Then there’s another girl doing Here Comes The Sun .

You could do Across The Universe . Pools of sorrow, waves of joy, words flowing into a paper cup, a million eyes (well, not quite a million on your box), broken light, restless wind inside a letterbox…
Also known as Egg-Rock, Egg-Roll, E-George, Eggy, Ravioli, Eggroll Eggrolli...

Good idea — the box itself would be the letterbox! Also — different glazed colors for each side, not all the same color?

I ended up doing Across The Universe . I just finished painting it today, and I’d say it’s probably the ugliest thing I made in ceramics all year.

Sorry if I suggested a bad song for this project… But I’m sure your box is better than what I could do. I’m more of a pencil-and-paper artist.
You didn’t snuggest a bad song, I just didn’t have enough time to do it, so it was pretty rushed. One of the sides are decent, but I’ll post pictures later if you care to see.

You’ve never heard about all the flack they got for that in the 60s? People thought they did that on purpose, which they didn’t.

You could have created a frightful mess of mangled clay and called it “Helter Skelter “
