Hey guys I’m starting a band called Number 9. And the funny thing is is someone suggested a number for the name and that’s what made me think of that. And were working on materials right now. I’ve written 5 songs already for our first album. So my question is, what songs should we COVER I was thinking only 6 covers per album (like the beatles). So far I’m thinking Jail House Rock, Rock And Roll Music , You’ve Got to Hide You’re Love Away, Maybe I’m Amazed and Jealous Guy . Have any others you think would be good for beginners.
P.S I’m on lead vocals and lead guitar. My friend Corey is playing the drums (he is basically our and he doesn’t want to sing a lot), and my friend Dylan is on guitar also. And we are all unprofesional. So I think it will be an interesting out come.

Dude that is so awesome! I will think about this and get back to you!
"Please don't bring your banjo back, I know where it's been.. I wasn't hardly gone a day, when it became the scene.. Banjos! Banjos! All the time, I can't forget that tune.. and if I ever see another banjo, I'm going out and buy a big balloon!"

It depends on what kind of songs you’re writing. If you will be “calmer”, then I would suggest “I’ll Follow The Sun “, “Till There Was You “, and anything like that.
I’m starting one, too, by the way. I can’t find a drummer, though, so I’m probably going to end up playing that instead of guitar. It’s a good thing I sound like Ringo, then!
"I'd tell her I love her, but she'd only reject me in the end and I'd be frustrated. That's why I play guitar; it's my active compensatory factor" -Ringo said something like this once, I changed it up a bit.
