I know there's a topic for most overrated, so I decided to make one about the underrated bands that happen to have some really good undiscovered songs. For me, it would have to be Incubus, The Killers, and Lifehouse. Maybe Snow Patrol. What does everyone else think?

I’ve posted about this band a bunch of times, but I think the Meters are criminally underrated in the funk world. Everyone knows about George Clinton, James Brown, Kool and the Gang, and other funk bands (for good reason because they are all spectacular). But I’ve never heard anyone even close to the Meters in terms of talent and not that many people have heard of them.
In terms of rock I think Steely Dan is incredibly underrated, they have some of the most unbelievable guitar solos and drum tracks on some of their songs. Check out the solos on the song Bodhisattva, they are unbelievable, and the drums on Aja, just brilliant.

Come on Daniel, NSync and Backstreet Boys can’t both be underrated, it’s either one or the other. Here were my thoughts (when I was younger…) NSync is basically only one guy, name one other band member? But BSB is a much greater collection, although they didn’t have any superstar. (Nick Carter, lol)
So I’d say BSB was more underrated. Actually, neither were underrated because they were two of the most wildly successful pop groups of all time.

Thanks Sun King .
Walrus, Nick Drake is better than the rapper. Drake, the rapper, will always be an actor from Degrassi.

From what I've read, The Kinks don't seem to get as much attention as the other big British Invasion bands (The Rolling Stones, The Who, and of course The Beatles), and yet I feel they have some great music. “The Kinks are the Village Green Preservation Society” is great, and I've recently uncovered tons of other great tunes by them that I love.

Do you remember Walter smoking cigarettes behind your garden gate? Wasn’t Village Green the official first ‘concept’ album or am I mistaken about that?
Anyway, I love the Kinks and haven’t heard a song of theirs that I didn’t enjoy. Victoria is one of my favorites.
Well I know, well I know, well I know that everybody, well I know that everybody be happy, as happy as you and me.
You just put me in the mood for the Kinks, thanks Cranberry Sauce! (or I buried Paul?)

I think The Kinks are underappreciated rather than underrated. People know they are good but their success is overshadowed by the other Enhlish bands of the time. The same goes for CSNY.
Simon and Garfunkel aren’t underrated in my opinion.

Some people say Sinatra had concept albums. The concept album history is fuzzy.
Edit: Penny Lane , I might use overshadowed for CSNY. Overshadowed by the bickering was the music.

What about Serena Gomez? Isn't she underrated, Daniel?
No, Selena Gomez is terrible. Almost as bad as Mitchell Musso, and worse than Demi Lovato. Demi Lovato’s not all that great either, really the only thing I like about her is that she was in a movie with Nick and Joe!(: (and Kevin, but that’s not as esiting)

I guess you're right, GniknuS. I remember being at daycare when I was really little though, and everybody was saying how the Backstreet Boys were terrible and I agreed with them, you know. I only ever liked a few of their songs. There's a lot of people who like them a real lot, though so that's why I said they were underrated. I really like NSYNC though, and I'd say they're better than the Backstreet Boys . But I believe Backstreet Boys were more popular. So if I'd have to choose one, I'd got with NSYNC Also, NSYNC were a bit more attractive, weren't they?
*17- Paul thinks so, too!*
