Yes, congrats on 500!
[Why two accounts? Well, when I first registered, Joe gave me an impossible-to-remember password, something like Tj9eruyGU14gga554jgdfgh or some such, which I found impossible to remember, so I wrote it down on a note on my wall here at home. Then a coupla weeks later at work, I found a thread that I just had to respond to IMMEDIATELY…but, without my password handy, I had no choice but to create a whole new account. Which I did, and of course was assigned a whole new untranscribable password. And only then did I finally learn that we could CHANGE the passwords to something easy to remember!]

Thanks, LHL!
And since you young whippersnappers are all being so competitive, let me just note that you’ve almost caught up to both mja AND egroeG, and they’ve been posting an entire MONTH longer than you!!

Huge congratulations on reaching 500, Egroeg! Our game of ping-pong across the threads tonight (well, it is 10 to 5 in the morning for me) seems to have served some useful purpose! Just remember, I’m not so far behind you!
Thanks!
Hmm… No, you’re not very far behind me… Aha! Maybe I can put the Impossible to Derail thread to good use!

An interesting story… Now I’m curious; what was the thread (if you remember)?

Thanks for the compliment, vonbontee! Being born a few weeks before Sgt. Pepper ‘s release, it’s been a long time since I’ve been called a “young whippersnapper”! Not that I mind at all.

I don’t think you need to worry too much, LHL is still closer to catching me up and overtaking than I am you!

Holy crap, mja, you’re five months older than me! :O Have you seen this thread?

You should check it out, you may be able to contribute a valuable post.
Oh, and I really meant “young whippersnapper” in terms of time of forum membership, but I guess that’s probably obvious.

The “Holy crap” is less of a compliment than the “young whippersnapper”! Yeah, I’ve checked on Beatles songs recorded on my birthday in the past, there were none. Only really looked after I was born though. Day before, day after, they avoided my birthday like the plague (as I do my best to do)!

Oh, that was just a “holy crap!” of surprise – there are so few of us 40-somethings here. Born at a time when Beatles actually walked the earth!

Don’t worry, von, it was take in the spirit it was exclaimed! My username just shows my lack of imagination when I signed up, initials, d.o.b. Ooo, I could come up with something better now I’ve had time to think, but then it took me around a month to get around to the avatar, and I don’t want to jump back to 0 posts by renaming myself! (Luckily, I saw the password could be changed straight off – you’d be so far ahead you’d have ages before you had to worry about the “young whippersnappers” if you hadn’t missed that bit!)

Or more accurately 505…I know it says 504 at the moment, but I believe the first post is numbered zero…
