Nothing about you is ridiculous. You just say lots, and I like people that say lots. Hope that sky090909 will say lots and catch you up, before you catch me up!
Thanks! In “real life” I am a big time talker, probably due to being hyperactive (ADHD). It makes sense that on here I have a lot to say as well.

I usually have a lot to say in “real life” as well. And if it wouldn’t make Joe and the other Beatles Biblers angry, or if I wanted to be a troll, I’d post random things on random threads. Of course, I’d still participate in the Beatles conversations… Anyway, that doesn’t matter; I’m not going to do that. See what I’m doing here? Rambling. And not on purpose. It’s a habit. And if I were smart I wouldn’t post this but I don’t care. Time to click the submit reply button.

Nothing wrong with that. I’m actually impressed with how much you post. In “real life” I’m a introvert anyways.

You’re funny.

What places?
Obviously, the start would need to be New York. Then down into the Southern States, looking for the birthplace of the blues and the remnants of that “weird old America” that fuels Dylan’s imagination. Before heading for California, up through Nevada, to Los Angeles, to wonder at that “weird new America”. The East and the West fascinate, but I think you’d have to see the South to get the real idea. And then if the time was available, head back through the North, aiming for Washington. Probably just as much as I could cram in if I ever did it.

Don’t forget the south has Jazz and Elvis. I know Elvis had some of remnants of the blues, but still.

Oh, I never forget Jazz and Elvis! You have to remember the Blues date back to the late-19th century though. I always like Lennon’s line on it in the 1970 Rolling Stone interview: “The Blues are beautiful because it’s simpler and because it’s real. It’s not perverted or thought about: It’s not a concept, it is a chair; not a design for a chair but the first chair. The chair is for sitting on, not for looking at or being appreciated. You sit on that music.”
Heading down South I’d be looking for “the first chair”, but that wouldn’t stop me hunting for “designs for a chair”!

Speaking of milestones, I noticed that vonbontee is listed among the top posters. That’s a relatively new accomplishment, isn’t it?
Also, I don’t know if this is the place to ask, but would anyone know what was going on when the board has its largest number of members online at once? Was it the iTunes releases?

Yeah, I noticed that personal milestone myself last week sometime. It would’ve happened long ago if my posts weren’t split between the two accounts! (“von bontee” has another thousand or so.) Guess I should bask in my “status” now since there are 3 or 4 of you recentcomers on pace to surpass my total by, like, June!
As for the “most ever users online” total of 597…I suspect that’s an error. The itunes thing didn’t make a big splash on this board at all, as far as I recall.
(Might it possibly have been the 09/09/09 remasters, though? Dunno, that was a bit before my time. But I honestly don’t think there were that many members at that time.)
GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

What I need to do is use THIS account to start all kinds of imaginary arguments with myself!
That way I’ll get ahead and stay ahead of everybody! (Until Joe has me banned or I lose my mind entirely.)
Oh, thanks for the congratulations, Egroeg – granny apples rule!
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

1600 posts in three months? That’s a lot of dedication, Egroeg.
What? No, it’s not. It’s only 533 1/3 posts per month…

That would be quite hilarious.
And you’re welcome. Yes, they do.
By the way, if you don’t mind my asking, why do you have two accounts?

Huge congratulations on reaching 500, Egroeg! Our game of ping-pong across the threads tonight (well, it is 10 to 5 in the morning for me) seems to have served some useful purpose! Just remember, I’m not so far behind you!
