1000 again! (2003 to be exact, but whatever…)
Thanks to meanmistermustard for starting this handy thread (definitely more useful to everybody than my old “1000 posts” thread), to Zig again for alerting me to the advanced search option (thus making it much easier to FIND this thread), and, well, to EVERYBODY, just for being yourselves. You know who you are!
Apples, etc. to you all…
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

Just noticed I’ve made Carnegie Hall! LongHairedLady coming up fast on the outside, she’ll overtake me soon given how short a time she’s been here, and how many posts! Congrats to her. If I had to say one post I’ve made since I joined, though happy with good responses I’ve had the past few days for some of the things I’ve had to say, it would be post 386 on The Official “Choosing Between Two Things” Thread. It was a drift off in that nothing was chosen, but merely reflected on LongHairedLady’s earlier choice with an introduction to Bill Hicks, but I love Bill Hicks. My favourite three artists: 1/2) Beatles (together & solo)/Dylan – alternating; 3) Bill Hicks

Thank you! I have a lot of time on my hands, due to two big factors: 1) I am a bit of a recluse. If I didn’t live with my spouse, I wouldn’t see many people. 2) I haven’t worked in 4 months, due to work-related wrist injuries. I do therapy during the day, but it’s only a couple hours.
"Please don't bring your banjo back, I know where it's been.. I wasn't hardly gone a day, when it became the scene.. Banjos! Banjos! All the time, I can't forget that tune.. and if I ever see another banjo, I'm going out and buy a big balloon!"

I am also a bit of a recluse, following a bit of a brainmelt that came after the suicide of my oldest friend a while back. Don’t have the advantage of a spouse. On here is the closest I come to conversations with people other than health professionals who keep a check on me to keep me out of hospital.

I’m sorry about your friend, that’s really sad. 🙁 *virtual hug* Recluses unite!

Thanks for the *virtual hug* Hope your wrist(s) on the mend. I recall someone once saying something about life being “what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans”. Just proving a bit of a hard road back to the land of the living! Small steps and one day at a time. A big Yay for Recluses!

Thank you, wrist are getting better. It’s a Long and Winding Road. Couldn’t resist.

I am also having a “wrist” problem because I fell of my bike. Now I can’t play technical-intense piano stuff. Hoping for it to get better.Never thought I’d make to the triple digits lol.
I wish you all the luck. Best thing to do is take care of it sooner than later. I’ve had this problem for about 5years now, and basically I just had to keep working until it got so bad I couldn’t work anymore. I bought an acoustic guitar at Christmas and I would really like to learn, but every time I play a little bit (maybe an hour) I feel it for like a week afterwards. I’m still healing though, so once I am 100% (I might not ever get there) I can try then. First thing is first, get a better job that doesn’t destroy me like this one does.
