Replying to myself, how weird and egocentric is that?
Nah, I was supposed to say a bit about myself but couln’t resist the silly pun.
I’m Stone, 37, from Gran Canaria, Spain, but currently living in Berlin, Germany. Musician, part-time lawyer, full-time beatlefreak. Three bands, wife, two kids and a cat.
Anything else to declare, sir?
I didn’t not do it. Sort of…

Welcome again, Stone! (I said hello following your first post). Hope you enjoy the forum!
Just to point out, there is a place to introduce yourself to the forum. Don’t be surprised should Joe move this there since the idea of it is to avoid loads of threads where people introduce themselves.
Anyway, I look forward to your contributions.

I never did formally introduce myself. Here goes! I am Trudy, live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I am married and have 4 kids!! (I am still somewhat sane!) & two dogs (one is a puppy). I work fulltime as a Safety Officer for a construction company. Always a fun challenge being the only woman on a job site! I have been a Beatles fan pretty much my whole life and I am really happy to find this wonderful forum. I have learned a lot already

Hi – I’ve been lurking on here for a few months and wanted to introduce myself. I’m Jeff and I live in New York. Although I’m 39 years old, I just became a Beatles fan about a year ago. For most of my life I had known only about as much as any American my age would know about them — their names, a few facts about their lives, and their most unavoidably famous songs. And my dad used to play the Sgt. Pepper Album when I was a kid. (And I played Ringo Starr in a school play in the 4th grade.) Since they were supposed to be the greatest band of all time, I had always wanted to know more about them someday.
Then, last spring, after Mad Men used “Tomorrow Never Knows ” in an episode, I decided it was finally time. I bought all their albums and listened to them in chronological order while reading Jonathan Gould’s “Can’t Buy Me Love ” from start to finish so I could learn all about their musical, historical, social and cultural significance (the book does a great job of exploring all of that). Now I listen to them all the time and I’m a big fan.
Anyway, hi everyone.

^ What a great way to discover them! I wish I’d had done it like that instead of just listening to any song, from any period, that came up on youtube.
Welcome, anyway!

Yeah, same. I didn’t know that they all were ”one” until I found my parent’s CD some time after

Ah, that’s so cool! Did you have to do a Liverpool accent?
Welcome to all new folks!

Hah, no, fortunately it was a non-speaking part! It was sort of a pageant of American popular culture through the years, and three other boys and I played the Beatles. We came onto the stage and pretended to play instruments to “I Wanna Hold Your Hand” or something like that.
