I’m so absorbed by their music and whatnot that I have to limit myself to listening to them because it almost causes me emotional stress!
Ha, that’s just like me! I just turned 17 so we’re around the same age

Hey y’all! I am TwoAfter908.
I have been a Beatles Fan my entire life, and I never stop reading about them and listening to them. When I found this website, I was in awe. It is now my favourite website and I’m glad to be a part of it.
I have 567 Beatles songs on my Laptop (and ever expanding, I have “Live At The BBC ” in the mail as I speak), Every studio album on CD, almost every studio LP on vinyl, every movie (two copies of “Help “!) a bunch of books, guitar picks, etc.

After months of watching this forum and reading the threads and song entries, I’ve finally decided to chime in.I’m Kayla and I’m 16. I have a parrot named Rigby after Eleanor Rigby of course. My father is a Beatles fanatic and he collects Beatles memorabilia which I often find myself touching when I shouldn’t be…
I’ve always known about The Beatles and their songs as well as some other 60s hits since I was younger since my Dad was definitely very in to that stuff. I got back into their music when about a year ago I got “You Really Got A Hold On Me ” stuck in my head Out Of The Blue . I looked it up, listened to it, then listened to some more, and I was hooked! It was easy for me to get into the music because my dad had all the (Capitol) albums on CD I could put onto my computer. I have since collected most of them on vinyl. Still need quite a bit though! One of my dad’s connections also sent a hard drive with 6000 Beatles outtakes, alternate tracks, and basically everything you can think of. I’ve found some really cool stuff in there!
And yes, I’m pretty obsessed I’d say. Not just with the music but with George, Ringo, John, and Paul’s personalities as well. This is going to sound odd maybe, but I’m so absorbed by their music and whatnot that I have to limit myself to listening to them because it almost causes me emotional stress! It’s just so good! I’m not a person that cries too much, but any time I see them perform, hear them sing, or do anything for that matter I may just burst out into tears. I admit with some albums it’s difficult for me to get through without shedding a tear at the pure beauty of it all. And nearly every time I listen to them I can’t resist getting actual chills.
I don’t usually talk about them too much to people I know unless I’m close to them because they’re a sensitive topic to me! If anyone ever says anything negative or even just neutral about The Beatles or John, Paul, George, and Ringo I get upset or angry.
I guess that’s all I can think of.
Does it sound odd? Yes, it does a little bit, but I can totally relate. It’s something I don’t talk about a lot because even my own mom (only one I’ve told) thinks I’m a bit strange because of it. Music to her is just something to listen to while you do the ironing, nothing more. Anyway, I understand!
Welcome to you and everyone else that is new here

Hi, I’m new here. The first music I ever remember buying was “Lady Madonna ” on 45 when I was a kid…Apart from having “Let it Be” on vinyl when I was 12 or so, and hearing The White Album in college (and being unimpressed), I was never really into The Beatles until last year when a friend got the remasters and gave me the 1987 CD catalogue. Since that time, I’ve been slowly entering the world of Beatles fanaticism, collecting books, music, toys, movies, etc., and I can’t get enough.
Just wanted to say hi. I’m sure I’ll be around.

How auspicious. A welcome from Satan himself. Yes, my interest resurged suddenly last fall. I got caught up by the good vibes, I guess. I had a brief academic interest in The Beatles after grad school when I was reading several books about the Manson Family. I also saw a documentary by Nikolas Schreck that alleged Anton Lavey was magically responsible for John Lennon ‘s death. There is an interesting web of connections between the Satanic church, the Manson Family, The Beatles, and Rosemary’s Baby. Polanski is also one of my favorite film directors.
I’m mainly interested in John Lennon and Yoko Ono, and have collected all their solo material since about September. But I’m also slowly collecting solo material by the other Beatles. McCartney has always been my least favorite, although I’m really enjoying his early solo albums right now.

Welcome! Always love a fan of Johnny, ET! Don’t know whether you know, or want to say more than you have here, but over in “Getting Better ” there’s a “Introduce Yourself to the Forum” thread. Don’t know what you’ve found on YouTube yet, assuming you have access, but this may interest you

Welcome Textpert, I like your name! Always nice to have a new member say some non-horrible things about Yoko, too.
Welcome Nowhereland, applescruffjr and twoafter908 too, even though you’ve all been around for a month or so! (“Withnail & I” is indeed fabulous, one of the two or three most quotable – and quoted – movies ever.)
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.
