Okay, good. I can’t take much more of her pestering. (And she’s only 7, so I apologize in advance for her bad typing skills. I really don’t feel like editing her post. No offense, sis.)

I remember thinking of the name “Luap Evoli” before, when I first saw Egroeg’s name. It almost sounds Hawaiian!
It wouldn’t work so well with John, however — “Nhoj”.
“Ognir Evoli” I think would be the best — sounds like a character out of Lord of the Rings (pun intended).

Maybe African?

Sadly, I don’t know anyone who likes Ringo the best…

Afternoon.
My name is Greg and I live in Leeds in the UK, and have been a lover of the Beatles since I first saved up my pocket money and secured the red and blue double albums in my early-teens! My first purchase, along with a used copy of ‘With The Beatles ‘, the doubles seemed a great way to get more bang for buck tunes due to my lack of coinage! And they got some good hammer on the auld record player! Sunday mornings involved jostling for positions as my dad was always hell bent on getting Johnny Cash on the spinning wheel… so some good music fighting for airtime!
I am a Hospital Porter in my work, and also a budding artist in my spare time. I draw mainly motorbikes / speedway as drawing them is my first love, and have done the rare piece of icon work doing faces and the famous.
I am a fan of all of The Beatles, though I do have a soft spot for John and Ringo. I loved John for his dry and sarcastic wit, and Ringo due the fact that, although he is a great drummer, he did have a face that said “I’ve done alright winding up playing with these lads!”
I will also post this in the main forum if that is okay, and I hope to feel the love in the room on this nice site.
Peace.
Greg

I was just looking over my post and I thought what a crappy job I did introducing myself, so I’ve nicked one of them “Get To Know Me” questions off tumblr so here we go:
Put your music on shuffle. First 5 songs that pop up: I Want You (She’s So Heavy)- The Beatles. Live a Lie- thenewno2. If I Fell -The Beatles. Strawberry Fields Forever – The Beatles. Hey Joe-The Jimi Hendrix Experience…let it be known that I do have other songs that are not by The Beatles
Grab the book nearest to you, page 23 line 17, what is it?: “They originally came from central Europe but eventually spread their influence over much of the continent especially in Ireland, Britain, France, Spain and as far south as Turkey in Eastern Europe (my history book, go figure)
What’s your strangest talent: I can put my leg behind my head
Whats a sound you hate: People mmmmming as they eat their food. SHUT UP, SHUT UPPPPP!!!
Sound you love: Fingers tapping on keyboards (I don’t know why…)
What was the last movie you saw: Withnail and I, it’s brilliant on my favourite films list!
What’s the last thing you purchased: A bottle of milk
What is your heritage: As far as I can date back, I’m 100% Irish
Whats a song that always makes you happy whenever you hear it: Miss O’Dell-George Harrison (his laugh,*giggles girlishly over George’s cuteness*)
What is a saying you say a lot: I have three: Well you know yourself, speak of the devil and BEH JAYSUS
You just got a free plane ticket to anywhere. Where do you go: To Orlando, it costs €5000 to fly from Orlando to Dublin and if I’m getting it for free then AWAY I GO!
Quick, look at your movie collection: first movie you see: V for Vendetta

After months of watching this forum and reading the threads and song entries, I’ve finally decided to chime in.
I’m Kayla and I’m 16. I have a parrot named Rigby after Eleanor Rigby of course. My father is a Beatles fanatic and he collects Beatles memorabilia which I often find myself touching when I shouldn’t be…
I’ve always known about The Beatles and their songs as well as some other 60s hits since I was younger since my Dad was definitely very in to that stuff. I got back into their music when about a year ago I got “You Really Got A Hold On Me ” stuck in my head Out Of The Blue . I looked it up, listened to it, then listened to some more, and I was hooked! It was easy for me to get into the music because my dad had all the (Capitol) albums on CD I could put onto my computer. I have since collected most of them on vinyl. Still need quite a bit though! One of my dad’s connections also sent a hard drive with 6000 Beatles outtakes, alternate tracks, and basically everything you can think of. I’ve found some really cool stuff in there!
And yes, I’m pretty obsessed I’d say. Not just with the music but with George, Ringo, John, and Paul’s personalities as well. This is going to sound odd maybe, but I’m so absorbed by their music and whatnot that I have to limit myself to listening to them because it almost causes me emotional stress! It’s just so good! I’m not a person that cries too much, but any time I see them perform, hear them sing, or do anything for that matter I may just burst out into tears. I admit with some albums it’s difficult for me to get through without shedding a tear at the pure beauty of it all. And nearly every time I listen to them I can’t resist getting actual chills.
I don’t usually talk about them too much to people I know unless I’m close to them because they’re a sensitive topic to me! If anyone ever says anything negative or even just neutral about The Beatles or John, Paul, George, and Ringo I get upset or angry.
I guess that’s all I can think of.
