Hello and thanks for welcoming me ! (:
and my birthday's not until March 9, so unfortunately, it's not too soon.
You're welcome. Here is an apple from me, the girl who loves classic rock in a city surrounded by a lot of music. In other words, Austin, Texas.

You're jealous? Never gotten that before… I have to admit Austin is a really cool city, my friend went downtown where there was this store full of old music stuff, and now I want to go. She bought my friends and I stuff, so I am good. But this is why the fact that some people STILL don't know who the Beatles are, they are literally EVERYWHERE, confuses me deeply.

I found my way here so I guess I could tell a bit about myself…
First time I really came to know the Beatles was probably when I was 14 or so. My music teacher made us listen some early songs of Beatles, like Love Me Do , I can't remember exatcly. After hearing their music and seeing their photos, I thought, what's the big deal? Their songs aren't that spectacular and they look pretty ugly, except for Paul(forgive me).
So…I forgot about Beatles for quite a long time. I couldn't help hearing some of their most famous songs, like Yesterday or Help , but that was pretty much about it. Untill… My dad had a CD called “Lennon Legend”, I listened to it, and was blown away. I couldn't believe how awesome his music was compared to Beatles (that was before I had heard Beatles's later records, of course). I read Larry Kane's book about him, and I was enthralled.
I was devastated when that CD finally broke (due to overuse?), but I got his “plastic album”. Only recently did I came across with another biography of Lennon, from Norman. That's also the time I got interested in this –-person. And somehow I started listening to Beatles songs, too, and I felt cheated. How come the radio(at least in here) only play the “crappy” Beatles songs? After being a Lennon fan for so long I discovered Paul's talents, and George's,too. Of course, at this point I already thought they were all unbearably adorable. rarely goes a day by nowadays without me listening to them…
Ohh, and I'm born in -92, I live in Finland and my name is Taru. Sorry about my long babble! Recently I've been spending time to be able to tell their names apart. It's surprisingly hard… I felt so ashamed after watching a vid of a live concert of John and George, and thought that his “Here Comes The Sun ” was boring. That's not the reason I was embarrassed though…I later listened the studio version, and thought it was John,'cause it sounded so much better! I wanna hide somewhere… Anyway, now I can easily tell their voices apart, but it was hard work.

Welcome Taru! Is it true that there is a word in Finnish meaning “Strawberry Fields Forever “?
I initially thought John was singing in both Yellow Submarine and Something , and Lady Madonna for that matter. And Penny Lane . I'm not sure whether I'm more embarrassed by Penny Lane or Yellow Submarine .
I really want to use , but I haven't had a chance yet, so there we go.
I told her I didn’t

Dude, I’ve loved the boys for about 16 years (holy crap) and only THIS year did I realize that George sings “Long, Long, Long .” This whole time I thought it was John!
Welcome, Taru! <3

Wow, Strawberry Fields sounds a lot cooler in Finnish! Or at least it looks cooler. I don’t know how to pronounce it all.
Oh, btw, today I Wikipedia-d “Long, Long, Long ” and apparently John didn’t even participate in the recording of the track! That totally shatters my entire universe. (Not really, just quoting “Hot Rod.”) I always thought that song had a very John-ish vibe to it. Oh well, I’m still going to picture the four of them playing together out in a sunny field when I listen to it. In fact, I will listen to it right now … 🙂
