Welcome to the fold, @amyjanelennon ! You’ll find many more Lennon-maniacs around here
I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Hello, I’m Amelia Jane. I’m English but I live in America now. I’m a huge John Lennon fanatic (a big fan of the Beatles and his post Beatle career as well). I own almost all of the Beatle lps but I haven’t yet acquired the early ones (I’m more of a late Beatles fan rather than an early Beatles fan).🙂
What’s [the] new amyjane, welcome to the forum!
Stick around, have a look, say some things. (And don’t sleep on the early Beatles music!)

I second this! You’ll find plenty of Revolver aficionados here, too, such as myself – truly their best album IMO (along with Abbey Road ).

I suppose this is more of a reintroduction, and I don’t even really know if it totally belongs here…
But hi!
I first found this wonderful place about four years ago when 15 year old me got super into the Beatles, I hung around for a bit but then I just sorta didn’t. A lot of things has happened since, and through it all I have always been able to come back to the Beatles and rediscover how amazing their music actually is. I don’t really know where I stand with my personal beatlemania right now, I don’t think it’s what it used to be, but also I kind of want it to, which I guess is why I’m here… I don’t really know where to start or that I’ll have heaps to contribute but I figured I’d still pop in to say hello to everyone and also…
I’m so happy to be back to see these smileys again! I mean seriously, how great are these smileys!?

Hi everyone, I first got into The Beatles as a young teenager in 1976, when EMI re-released all the UK singles, along with ‘Yesterday ‘ as a new single. I bought 6 or 7 of the singles before progressing onto the albums.
My favourite Beatle was always John … I just liked his voice better and he looked great too! It probably helped that my first albums were ‘Help ‘ and ‘A Hard Day’ Night’. This was before he was murdered and before I knew that John & Paul mostly wrote songs separately.
My favourite Beatle is still John, but I do appreciate how brilliant musically Paul is. Paul does seem to be able to excel at every type of song and makes it look effortless! However, my favourite songs tend to be John songs mostly like ‘Strawberry Fields Forever ‘, Girl, In My Life ‘ and ‘I Am The Walrus ‘. My favourite Paul songs would be his classics off Revolver , which is probably my favourite Beatle album.
I am also a massive George fan and have all his solo albums. I had them all up to ‘Cloud 9’ on vinyl. My favourite George song is ‘Here Comes The Sun ‘ and it would be in my Top 5 Beatle songs.
My username, as I am sure you all realise, is taken from Revolution 9 … I really like this track and it fits perfectly on The White Album !
I only discovered this site a few weeks ago and think it is fantastic … I love reading about what other Beatle fans think of the albums and songs!

Hi everyone, my name is Garth and I first got into The Beatles as a young teenager in 1976, when EMI re-released all the UK singles, along with ‘Yesterday ‘ as a new single. I bought 6 or 7 of the singles before progressing onto the albums.
I also discovered them as a teenager. In 2017.
My favourite Beatle was always John … I just liked his voice better and he looked great too! It probably helped that my first albums were ‘Help ‘ and ‘A Hard Day’ Night’. This was before he was murdered and before I knew that John & Paul mostly wrote songs separately.
A Hard Day’s Night was also the first album I listened to by the Beatles.
I also think John was the better songwriter of the three. And Revolver is my favourite Beatle album as well.
I am also a massive George fan and have all his solo albums. I had them all up to ‘Cloud 9’ on vinyl. My favourite George song is ‘Here Comes The Sun ‘ and it would be in my Top 5 Beatle songs.
All Things Must Pass is one of my favourite non-Beatle records of all time, and Here Comes The Sun to me is the best Harrisong as well.
My username, as I am sure you all realise, is taken from Revolution 9 … I really like this track and it fits perfectly on The White Album !
… and a little bit slower… I’m not a big White Album apologist and I don’t enjoy Revolution 9 but judging by the trail @QuarryMan went through on this forum, I’m sure it’ll end up being my favourite in a couple of years or so. Just give me time to process it.
I only discovered this site a few weeks ago and think it is fantastic … I love reading about what other Beatle fans think of the albums and songs!
I only discovered it a couple of months ago as well.
So you’ll see we’ve got plenty in common. I’d love to see your posts
