Hi everybody !
Just discovered the website sometimes ago looking for some right informations about the Fab Four, and particularly John.
I’m a french guy, fond of rock’n’roll, blues, etc …. and also a guitarist.
What else ? ?

Not once does the diversity seem forced -- the genius of the record is how the vaudevillian "When I'm 64" seems like a logical extension of "Within You Without You" and how it provides a gateway to the chiming guitars of "Lovely Rita. - Stephen T. Erlewine on Sgt Pepper's

Hello Hello.
I had been posting as Jpgr, but then noticed that someone else had been commenting under that handle, albeit not for a while now. So now I’m Ms. Lane, which also is the name I’ve been going by in the comments section. I’m feeling a little like Phil Specter, over-complicating things, but I’m hoping this will enable me to Get Back .
Happy Bealteling, all.

Hi, Hi, Hi everyone! I am NEW here.
I am really into sweater vests, garden gnomes, heroin, flashing the peace sign and Neil Aspinall, so naturally I love the Beatles!

Welcome to slaggers @SpecialCup! Have a great time on the forum!
I’m really looking forward to your thoughts on the Beatles and their beautiful universe, especially, since you have already shown your superb taste in the thread about the most beautiful Beatles songs by liking Martha My Dear . (Psst… I also love Doctor Robert , it’s a cute little song and the harmonium is stellar)

Welcome to the forum! What an unusual collection of interests, but each to our own I suppose.

SpecialCupI've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Could Ms. Lane’s post (3852 – 6 above this) be cleared?
@meanmistermustard @Ahhh Girl
Thanks for that!
Welcome, new people. Hopefully you will enjoy your time here.
Not sure you should be into heroin, @SpecialCup, unless you mean the Velvet Underground track!
Not so sure anyone was, or has, used the Jpgr username on the forum, @Ms. Lane, though it has been part of some longer usernames.
Always good to have new people join us, and especially nice to see them posting rather than watching. We’re a friendly bunch (and I’m not really that Nasty at all, or try my best not to be).
Look forward to seeing you all join in the conversations.

Hello there,
My first encounter with Beatles music was when I was 5 or 6 and my father was playing Abbey Road at full blast in the basement, the vinyl that is… Circa 1978 or 79. Then, I rediscovered them when I was 12 or 13 and I immediately wanted all their albums. My father already had Abbey Road , Magical Mystery Tour and the White Album and I found Sgt Pepper on one of his reel-to- reel tape.
Back then, in 85 or 86, one of his brother duplicated all his 8 tracks cartridges (yuk!!!) to cassettes for me and I listened to them repeatedly…
Years passed and I studied music and became a music teacher 20 years ago (elementary school). During these years, my musical taste has been wider going from jazz, classical, modern pop, old rock and progressive, world music, etc… Now, I listen to the Beatles differently obviously and I’m always amazed by what they bring to our actual world, particularly in the music scheme.
Two weeks ago, I stumbled by accident on this site and since then, I’ve almost read all the topics in the recording/technique sub forum!
Mind you, I am a real fan, having all kind of Beatles things. Obviously, a lot of vinyls, cups, glasses, fridge magnets, keychains, posters, etc… Even some original bubble heads Beatles from the sixties.
As soon as I have an opportunity, I talk about the Beatles to my young students and let them listen to their artistic and technical masterpieces.
