Hello, all! Fan since I was a kid. Got the Red and Blue compilation albums for my birthday in 1980. a couple of weeks before Lennon’s death. I am a visual artist and love all types of music. I especially like the studio period Beatles from 66 to 69. Favorite album is the White one. Look forward to checking out the posts and sharing thoughts with others here.

Offline Hello! My name is Sean and I am currently 14 (that’s why me not good at writing so much).
I joined a long time ago (and only just bothered to introduce myself) and have been using this site for even longer as I have an unhealthy obsession with the Beatles (just like all of you guys!)
I started to be interested in the Beatles when I was 7 because my dad let me listen to the 1 album although he wasn’t that into the Beatles so I’m not sure why he had the CD. I listened to it constantly for several years until I was 10 when my dad’s Beatles-obsessed friend gave me mp3 copies of all the remastered albums and my parents got me Beatles: Rock Band which I thought was absolutely amazing! From then on I’ve loved the Beatles and visited Liverpool a few times (I live in the UK) and I know that there will never be a musical artist that I like more than them. Because of them, I learnt to play the guitar, bass and drums (well, no lessons so maybe not “learnt”) and I am in a VERY amateur band which is great fun.
That’s all I have to say, and I look forward to having more chats with everyone here!

You would be like me and the Fabs in that we have had no proper music lessons, but one doesn’t need lessons to learn. 
And I can’t speak for other non-obsessed people, but I think having an unhealthy obsession with the Beatles is very healthy

Offline I feel like I have lifted a weight off my shoulders that has been there for 3 1/2 years! 
Now I am free to lark about here as I wish because I, have Introduced Myself! (cue dramatic fanfare)
I’m glad to be a part of this place, where I can talk about all things Beatles, and the people are so nice that they will pretend to be interested!

Offline Hey guys! I’ve been gone for so long so thought I’d better reintroduce in case you all forgot about me. Honestly I didn’t mean to be gone for months. I took a break to settle into my new job and things kept happening, then Christmas happened (which in the restaurant business is very busy) and horrible news in the family making for stressful times.
But I’m now back! I didn’t fall out of love with The Beatles at all during that time, or any of you guys!
Hopefully I can now be around more often.

Offline I’ll greet you back a second time, @StarrisonSubmarine. To catch you up, @Ron Nasty, found out he has cancer. The doctors caught it early, in stage 1. Hopefully he will come through it just fine. Maybe one of these days we will make it back to Liverpool to see you again.

Liverpool actually has a Yellow Submarine themed boat you can hire. Who doesn’t want to honeymoon or holiday on the Mersey??
But it doesn’t go underwater. They did have a boat that drove around the streets then went into the Mersey but it sank twice in 2013 so the company had their license revoked and was shut down. For more information check out The Yellow Duckmarine.
