I never really introduced myself. I’m 44, a bishop in the Independent Sacramental Movement, and have a Masters degree in British Literature. I wrote my thesis on Yeats and the occult and specialized in 20th century British poetry. I also studied philosophy and classical rhetoric. I have a meaningless secular job that has nothing to do with my education. And that’s all I will say here. If you want to know more about me, you can PM me.

Offline Hello, (goodbye) I’m Merch from Uruguay. I’ve been visiting this site for a few months, but It wasn’t until some days ago I decided to join. I’m very young (when George died I was some months old) and I never heard of The Beatles until last year, when Paul did a concert here and all the beautiful people were crazy, so I started listening to Yesterday , then 20 Greatest Hits and now I’ve listened to most of the albums (the UK ones). My favourite albums are Rubber Soul and Beatles For Sale , but I love them all. I watched all the movies (incluiding the full Anthology) and my favourite one is Help !. I’m the only one in my class who likes this awesome band, so I’m a bit lonely, like Eleanor.

I just wanted to follow the sun and go out of the shadow, to see the bright stars that shine, altough the sky is still dark. 
But, seriously, I don’t know, I just wanted to make jokes, chat, and use the smileys!

Welcome @Merch. That’s a pretty good turn of phrase for a non-English speaker. Although our British members would say that we Americans don’t speak English either.
I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.
