Either way, I’m glad your dad had the records there waiting for you to discover them.
No, he was still with us. He died in 1990, so had plenty of time to enjoy me enjoying The Beatles. He was great about it. I remember asking him if they were any good, and he said, “you’ll have to work that you for yourself.”

I’m a Beatles fan since the early 80’s, in fact I was a Paul McCartney fan before becoming a Beatles one, because of his We All Stand Together song and video.
Usually my username in Beatles related forums is “taxman” because I work for the portuguese government taxes department, but that name was already taken by another user…
Anyway, my favourite Beatles album is Abbey Road , my favourite song changes from time to time, now is Here Comes The Sun , previously was In My Life .
