Aargh – I’m trapped in a trope and I don’t even know what a trope is. Someone help me break out.

There is no escaping the tropes. Everything you do is a trope!!!

Hmm, this bit sound promising: “characters in these dynamics frequently evolve into a romantic pair. This is so common that when that is Averted or Subverted, viewers are surprised by a non-romanticized relationship“.

I just have to figure out how to make sure I don’t get Avert or Subvert :)

@Necko, sorry if I missed you posting the answer to this question already, but I was wondering if you finally found out that you received passing grades in your final classes?

Oh, yeah, I did pass everything.

Now I’m just an unemployed college graduate.

Well, this is back to being fun. Trapped in a trope or not the platonic best friend is making progress.

I’m happy just to have someone new and interesting to chat with (even if nothing comes of it in the end), my friend seems to be happy having a virtual shoulder to lean on.

Oh No!! I just started college this last Fall and have a long way to graduate. I want to become a Kindergarten Teacher after this is all over. I hope I can find a job pretty quickly. Good Luck with your job search.

@Hazy, according to the Occupational Outlook Handbook, the growth rate for Kindergarten teachers is 12% (as fast as average), so there will be jobs out there when you graduate.

My cat (well one of them, the other is about 542 years old and hangs around the house all day meowing to get back in) which has been away for about a week has turned up. As soon as you start getting concerned there he is looking for a bit of food.

Did it drag a dead cow into the kitchen?

No cows around at the moment thankfully as i have steak in the freezer and the deer in our garden can easily outrun him. He has carried rabbits around when following us in the garden as if he expects us to cook them for him.

So I’m back in FL (for reasons I won’t detail), have been for about a month.

So currently my life is busy… and a bit complicated, but all is good!

If I spoke prose you'd all find out, I don't know what I talk about.

Can buy Joe love!

There’s an old guy…….(he’s actually 2 months older than me)……Australian. Lives as I do in Thailand. Last night we were talking and he related how in his youth and just the once he stood in for Paul as a ‘double’. He and three others were dressed in ‘Beatle suits’ and exited the front door of a Sydney Hotel while the real thing slipped out the back.

He didn’t meet the group.

He wasn’t paid.

He got a photo signed by all four.

Two things struck me……All those fans who thought they saw the Beatles on that day didn’t…….And ‘if’ he’s telling the truth I wonder if the Beatles actually signed his photo either.

My darling cat, in revenge for being put outside for the fifth time this morning, snared a bird and proceeded to ‘play’ with it right in front of the window. Poor bird. I’ve never known a pet cat get involved in mind games and oneupmanship.
