I graduated from my online software development bootcamp course on 17th May. I have been busy, hence why I’ve not been on here for a while. I loved it and did HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL and Python. The other students and the technical trainers were fantastic. In fact, the other students and I have our own WhatsApp group.
I’ve just started a new role as a web developer intern at a digital company. It’s going well so far.

The spine surgeon threw us a curve ball. He won’t do the surgery now. He says she has to get it done by the specialists at Vanderbilt University. Now we have to get everything set up with them.
The surgery is scheduled for July 9th. I’ll be retired by then (July 1 is my last day) so I can be with mom for the surgery and recovery.

Congratulations rube! And congratulations AG!
And I just wanna say that if some ‘pudlians have found my posts from the past 2 weeks a little sloppier and crankier than usual, it’s because like Ahhh Mom, I’ve required spinal surgery which I got last night after 2 weeks of pain, and I’ve got at least a few weeks ahead of of more pain while I recover from having spinal cysts drained, and it’s hard for me to be meticulous in my post checking and spelling while I’m suffering so I’ve being haphazard in my writing and my spelling and checking and arguments. So let me apologize for that, and accept all your condolences at once in spirits without having to physically respond to them for real, cuz it’s so painful thank you I love you guys and gals.

I came off my bike yesterday, hurt my wrist by bracing the fall and skinned my knee. Hope to get better soon.

I had quite a Beatley evening…
First I dropped by my workplace to give my coworker a copy of the mono mix of Revolver , because I had gotten her the remastered CD for her birthday, but her truck’s speakers are a bit wonky atm and she couldn’t hear all the things (ahhh those delightful 60’s stereo mixes), and we spent a few minutes chatting about how good “For No One ” is and how Geoff Emerick invented ADT (Automatic Double Tracking) for the Beatles because John was lazy.
Then I went to my band-friend’s place to have a bit of a jam with him and his friend, who, it turns out, is also a longtime Beatles fan (and Volvo driver! I was definitely shamelessly showing off my new car a little bit). We played “I’ve Just Seen A Face “, “Nowhere Man “, and “Day Tripper ” in full, and we messed around with a bunch of others including “Out The Blue” (John), “Rocky Raccoon “, “Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)” (George), “Run Of The Mill ” (George), “And I Love Her “, “Martha My Dear “, and “For No One “.
14-year-old me (who some of y’all will remember from this forum! ) was when we started singing those harmony vocals on “Nowhere Man “. I always dreamt of singing that and now my dreams were realized. We played it kinda sloppy overall (we’ll have to work on it more and, like, properly learn the bassline etc.), but that opening was tight.
It was a great time and I will probably do a Beatles binge tomorrow

I was planning to move outside my house about six hours ago. I haven’t and can find little reason to do so. Some days you just want to sit, do, and that’s ok.
