Saw the new Mission Impossible movie yesterday. Loved it, plenty of intrigue and good action.

Yeah. I was surprised by how I enjoyed their sound as I was expecting to be put off but I would happily go and see them. It’s something different to the straight cover. ‘YCDT’ has a great feel to it.
I’m trying to escape from my job but there are things I have to do with and for myself before the escape comes. The hope was it would be in a couple of weeks but now at least a further few months, Christmastime being the targeted hope.

I’m sitting here at my desk at work looking at my retirement contract.
I’ll admit that I asked ChatGPT to write an “Intent to Retire” letter for me.

I got back from a week’s vacation in the mountains of Virginia with an awful head cold… I’m on the mend but it’ll be a while before my singing box is back to full order and I’m quite frustrated by that in the meantime I’ll be playing bass, I guess

It’s been years since I had a cold, but when I did, I would actually like it for at least one reason — it gave my voice nearly an extra octave of deep notes below my healthy norm.
My voice sounds like a man’s whenever I have a cold haha
I just moved to a new country alone which is both exciting and terrifying, because I’ve been wanting to live abroad for a while but I have yet to meet anybody and I’m not fluent in the language. Anyway, I’m sure I’ll soon learn how to feel at home here.

Good luck getting settled in the country!
It seems that I’m the only one with a voice that’s all right during a cold…

Thanks! I think I might just have to force myself out of my comfort zone and go to a bar or a café to make some friends.

I get along with people but don’t have any friends, and I’m cool with that. There’s no rats aboard the magic ship of perfect harmony.

The woman I’ve been seeing broke it off with me on Sunday. I am devastated.
Here’s a story @Ahhh Girl will like:
The time before last that I went to the library, I asked the librarian to recommend a feelgood, uplifting movie because I am dealing with heartbreak and she gave me a title. When I came back to the library yesterday, the librarians made me a whole list. They are the best.

A feel good, uplifting recommendation: Intouchables / Untouchable depending on the translation from French. Despite the topic being heavy at times, it is one of the funniest, most joyful films I have ever seen. An all time fave.
Keep on keeping on, time will heal all and also, agreed that librarians are living angels
