Got to see some school friends at the pub last night, some of which I hadn’t seen since pre-pandemic, which was pretty uplifting. Shame we’re probably headed back into lockdown any day now!

I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

just had something similar happen recently @QuarryMan !

went to my first couple shows since covid hit, one a friend had booked/promoted and another a couple friends of mine’s bands were playing

nice to see all those people again and get back to doing something I love, especially seeing as I don’t know when I’ll get to again

bars are postponing their booked shows and I’m sure we’re gonna be in lockdown here again pretty soon

I don’t mind, I’ve been having a grand old time just hanging out at home for the most part

Christmas morning here in Melbourne. First CD on was McCartney III . After the initial listening when I bought it thought this has Christmas morning written all over it. I was right. Perfect. Just had my seafood cocktail for starters. Enjoy if your rolling that way today. john-lennon-salute_gif

Unless Paul McCartney knocks on my door I am unlikely to be impressed.

Christmas in Perth. Going to be 40 degrees or hotter. I’ll be inside with the air conditioner on full blast. I’ll be eating well and reading in the afternoon, with a rest. Taking it easy, my fellow BB’ers.

We had some calamari – not a cocktail though – but your music selection sounds much better than ours! a-hard-days-night-john-6

I’m up here in the Northern Hemisphere where it should be cold or at least cool on Christmas day, but it was all shorts and t-shirts today. paul-mccartney

My grandmother passed away in her sleep last night after a battle with cancer, with her children around her and her favourite music playing. One of the songs that was played just before she went was Blackbird , which was very fitting because she loved nature and birdwatching all her life. Will take some time to process, but right now I’m feeling a sense of relief at how peaceful it was and gratitude to have been able to know her for over twenty years. Blackbird , fly… a-hard-days-night-john-3heart

That’s so sad to hear, @QuarryMan.  My deepest condolences to you and your family!  I’m glad she at least got to go out with her favorite music playing.

Here’s to a better 2022 to all, be it forum users or not. 2021 has been a year to look back at with a shrug and sigh of relief it’s gone, hopefully the year ahead has far more freedom, happiness and joy for you all.

Happy New Year everybody! We had a quiet NYE and celebrated my birthday and the last day of 21 just as a couple. It was great.

Lets hope we’ll all get some nice new Beatles releases this year!

We have started the new year with no electricity. It’s been off since about 3 am. It’s now 10:19. If it isn’t on by noon, Ohhh Boy will get the generator going.

Just started the winter semester today.  Also, the Flowers In The Dirt Archive came today so now I have all 13 Paul McCartney Archives.  Not excited for the business to start, but it’s good to be busy again.

haven’t posted here in a little bit!

had a pretty good Christmas and New Years’, which was nice, that doesn’t happen every year

I’ve just been taking it easy for the last couple months, hanging out at home, slowly working on some music

went and saw Licorice Pizza last night, really enjoyed it!

I’m glad the Raptors are doing well again, especially seeing as the Oilers are back to being frustratingly terrible

I’m currently taking three online community college courses and working around 30 hours a week. Please send help. (I did tell my manager to cut my hours, but I was already on the schedule for a couple weeks and, since my courses are asynchronous and I like money and I have to buy so much s**t for school [I hate textbooks], I figured I’d suck it up for now).

Needless to say, I have precious little time for, well, anything really (and yet here I am, procrastinating anyway, because I’m too tired not to) a-hard-days-night-paul-7a-hard-days-night-paul-7a-hard-days-night-paul-7

Am currently working a lot but that ends Tuesday night when it all blows away and I am hardly in for almost 10 days. One of those where you wait patiently knowing that quieter better days are ahead.
