I went to see the new ‘Ghostbusters’ film in the cinema. A very slow beginning and cheesy ending which you knew was coming yet I really enjoyed it. Reminded me of ‘The A-Team’ at one point which is no bad thing. I really love the first two films (firmly in the group who never bothered with the reboot) so whereas in other films I would have been really annoyed, here was very easily willing to let all offenses slide.

I won’t give spoilers away.

My ears are still ringing from yesterday’s/last night’s/this morning’s Sgt. Peppercorn’s Marathon.

It was snowing over night and this morning and I love snow. It’s beautiful and simply makes everything look stunning.

[snip]

I love snow too! While I very much understand a lot of the negatives (shovelling, more difficult driving, treacherous sidewalks, getting dirt and water everywhere, etc. etc.), it’s never truly Christmas – or winter in general – without a healthy amount of it. The way it gently blankets everything and reflects the Christmas lights and sunshine is so lovely. I’m certainly glad to live in a part of the world that gets lots every year.

For the past little while I was a bit disappointed because we hadn’t had much of anything in the way of snow, but just a couple days ago we got a bit that stuck! Hopefully the rest of it will show up soon.

I’m glad to hear someone is a fan of snow– I’ve been told over and over how it’s cool for two seconds and then everything turns into gross, slushy mud. It’s already snowed a bit (!!!) but not enough to accumulate on the ground.

Love one another.

Maybe so. But those two seconds are better than wind or rain for the same amount. If it’s not sun, give me dry or snow regardless of what Paul said. John was right.

By the way, did anybody see ‘Dune’? Curious to hear what others here thought of it.

I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

I hadn’t read the book. Strictly as a movie I found it beautifully shot and scored, but overlong.

Yeah I watched half of it with my step-dad. Sadly, we started it on the last day it was on HBOMax w/o knowing, and so we never got to finish; however, we thought it was REALLY good so far and I really want to see the full movie at some point soon.

Also, hi everyone! I have realized now that I have been inactive for *months*. This past year has been super busy for me, as I was working in the summer and started college classes. I’m one week away from finishing my first semester! john-lennon-salute_gif

Watched Prince Caspian from the Narnia series today. It’s held up surprisingly well, to the point where part of me is sad that Narnia got left by the wayside as a film franchise while both the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings franchises have been returned to with the Fantastic Beasts and Hobbit series.

Crazy yes but was manipulated by F1 to be so as they were desperate for a noteworthy ending. I gave up.on F1 years ago due to how dull and contrived it was, nothing in Sunday changed that for me. I do mean dull as as soon as they start playing loosely with the rules the sporting excitement is gone.

Very true. I’m still not a hundred precent sure what was happening there with the FIA and the lapped cars but it seemed fishy for sure. The enforcement of the rules this season has been all over the map (I’m still pissed off that they took away Seb’s podium). Some good racing, though.

Well, the school semester finally ended today.  I’ve been doing nothing but school and work from 6am to 11pm for the last 3ish months.  I hope I can get on here more!

Watching the cricket where one England cricketer is surrounded by about eight Australians as he bravely knocks the ball two yards away to score one run every five minutes.

England are trying to avoid defeat.

England should stick to football, it’s been more than 4000 days since they last won a test cricket match in Australia.

It ended up being quite an exciting end to the game though…
