I got my Beatles watch back today. It originally went in for repair and service in February 2020, just before lockdown hit and therefore I didn’t see it again until later that year when one of the stores employees delivered it to my house as he lived nearby. It lasted a few hours before dying a quick death and had to therefore go back in in late April 2021 for further works to be carried out. Hopefully it’s worked.
Whilst In Glasgow I went to the cinema where I saw ‘Space Jam 2’, (the entire highlights are when Bugs and co do stupid stuff – they could easily ditch all the other stuff and just give me a 90 minutes Looney Tunes cartoon and I’d be delighted) and ‘Old’ (started out alright but quickly deteriorated and by about the hour mark I has hoping everyone would die painfully and the film would be done with. It ran on for another 48 minutes as I got more bored and annoyed by it all. Some of the camera work was awful, eg when a close-up of the back of someone’s head and an out-of-focus leg was kept on screen for about 30 seconds).
The cinema is free as I have a paid-off Unlimited card and seen well over the amount of films to make it very cost effective so I lose nothing going to see such films. The cinema is brilliant. Oddly, tho, I cannot and do not watch films in my house, i get bored quickly and figure that it’s a waste of 2 hours watching them.
Currently people are skateboarding at the Olympics. They keep falling off tho which isn’t very impressive.

I got my favourite reaction I’ve had to a YouTube comment I made ever today.
Firstly, guilty pleasures admission, I have a thing for reaction videos, and my response was to someone watching a crap and inaccurate video called “A Brief History of The Beatles”. I pointed out all the errors with the video a month or so ago.
Got my first response to it today with Secret Agent Paul saying,
I’m gonna have to create a few more YouTube accounts to give this comment more likes.
I do like it when a good demolition job is appreciated.

I torrented that one myself
I laughed out loud more than I was expecting to, but boy, that was one long commercial

I was going to avoid it as I was expecting some diluted for today’s world Looney Tunes cartoon but was sold by the trailer when Yosemite Sam draws his pistols and starts madly firing his guns at the basketball ball when told to shoot the ball. It’s just so brilliantly stupid. I’m a little surprised it’s in the film as no doubt some imbecile will be horrified at gun violence being glorified in a children’s cartoon (its not but why should that matter?). Probably at home just now trying to drum up some anger online and creating some placards that demand heads to roll.
There are some genuinely very funny moments, which I was surprised by. But all are by the cartoons. The humans can barely act at times

Just got back yesterday from five lovely days’ vacation with my friend at her grandmother’s house near the beach (North Carolina has outer banks, and her house is on the inner banks side). We binge-watched Star Wars, went to the beach, I got horribly sick from probably food poisoning, I got better, burned the roof of my mouth on pizza sauce, we sewed little trifles while binge-watching Star Wars, went crabbing on the sound, ate Hi-Chew candies, drew a page full of silly sea creatures together, laughed at Star Wars memes, and generally had an excellent time.

Went to meet a girl after talking to her for a week. It went okay, but nothing happened after. As usual. Oh well. I didn’t expect anything but it’s still a letdown. I’ve still got The Beatles to listen to.

Being back home after school has been somewhat slow, then I see Widespread Panic three days in Wilmington NC, my girlfriend comes to visit from California and we are seeing Braves games, going to live jams and seeing so many of my old friends. Now my grandparents are coming to town today and I’m just trying to slow down.

I was just in the Wilmington area lol, we were probably within an hour’s drive of each other.
A couple weeks ago I went to Florida and on Friday I’ve got another all-day outing so between all these things and the vacation I mentioned above, July has been an utter whirlwind.

I wish. July has been the opposite of a whirlwind in Australia. Here in Melbourne we’re in our 5th lockdown because of a breach from the Sydney outbreak*, so July has not been eventful at all.
*which in turn is because of our pathetically slow vaccine roll-out. If you live in a country where you can get a vaccine and you haven’t already, please do.

Truth is Holey we don’t have a Prime Minister. Morrison goes missing when the going gets tough and has no idea what to do.

After 20 years, we had to buy a new washing machine. Our old wahing machine has been declining for a while now, and it got so bad yesterday that Sacher Torte walked into the laundry room, dropped the toy duck she was carrying, and barked at the the noisy machine. When your dog tells you it is time to get a new appliance, it’s really time to get a new appliance.

I keep thinking about that one line in Cigarettes & Alcohol by Oasis: “is it worth the aggravation to find yourself a job when there’s nothing worth working for?”
I get that things are generally bad ’cause of covid, but the only work that’s available that I think I could maybe do is working at a dispensary (being on the spectrum means the only things really hiring [kitchens, delivery, warehouses, etc.] are out for me, knowing myself and past experiences with those sorts of jobs)
which would be fine! but it’s minimum wage and it looks like you have to get a licence yourself to even be considered, which is pretty annoying
guess I’ll try and do that tomorrow, pretty depressed today
I was doing pretty good mentally for a while, but I’ve been off the last few days
