School went back to remote learning until the 3rd quarter (2nd semester) of the year, so a couple weeks into January. Lots of my peers are upset about it, but i’ve pretty much become desensitized at this point. It’s all for the best, especially since COVID cases are skyrocketing in my county rn.

Considering that covid’s death toll is expected to match 911/Pearl Harbor on a daily basis, I don’t think we need to go back to school in person right now. Especially high school students.

A dear friend from high school died of covid last night.  She was one of my “sisters” in our Sisterhood of the Travelling Bracelet.

So Sorry to hear that. You’re having a rough time at the moment.

Feck! I left a hob on my cooker on all weekend. Last thing I cooked was a steak on Friday. Had a Chinese takeaway Saturday and its leftovers Sunday. Was surprised when the electric went out yesterday. Just walked into the kitchen and noticed the right front hob was on full. Feck! Kitchen’s currently the warmest room in the flat, but a damn expense way to heat it!

Just as well you didn’t burn the place down and yourself with it!

had a serious creative drought (I had an 11 song album written that I decided to scrap this spring, wasn’t able to come up with much since)

actually plugged in my interface for the first time since, got a quick demo recorded

feels good to be back in that mode

Some happy news; I’ve been in a relationship for the past couple of months, which is… very different to what I’m used to, being quite an independent person, but it’s also the best thing evera-hard-days-night-john-6

I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

I’ve found that incredibly rare sweet spot where, for no reason of your own making, you find yourself unbelievably comfy sitting in your chair. I do not want to move ever.

The quality of my posts is at times mind-blowing.

I found that feeling in my desk chair at some point a couple of years ago, never found it again. I’ve been chasing that high ever since.

I achieved that level of comfort once sitting at my fifth-grade desk.

How I managed to enjoy sitting in a hard, uncomfortable elementary-school chair that was probably too small for even my ten year old self remains a mystery.

Awesome music @VeraChuckandDave. Sleep Cycle plays right to my happy place ahdn_george_08. Hey, are you in the band Freak Heat Waves or just a fan? Also did you know that @The Hole Got Fixed and @ewe2 record for the same label? I thought Bandcamp was headquartered in Australia, but I see you’re in Edmonton so they must be international.

thanks! funny, that’s the song I hear least about from people (even had one person admit to me that they glossed over it for a while)

I’m just a fan of FHW, although an old band of mine did get to play with them once (which was pretty great)

oh, Bandcamp’s not a label, it’s a site where you can upload your own music!
