Ahhh Mom is having surgery on Wednesday. I’ve promised to go take care of her. Now, Sacher Torte is ill. She already has her yearly check up scheduled for tomorrow, but we don’t know whether to put it off one more day. The vet would have to come in on her day off. Why does so much have to happen at once? Blast it all.

I too hope for everything to turn out fine AGAs always I’m sending good hopes.
As for me, I’ve become interested in the idea of painting one of the walls in my bedroom, which right now is ugly-looking and in an uneven and old bright orange. I figured I would paint something on it. I’m not an experienced painter but I believe that at this big scale, if I divide the wall in tiny squares (whatever that technique is called), I can little by little do a decent painting of Groucho Marx on it. Although I’m also considering Miles Davis or Frank Zappa, so we’ll see.
In this little splash of inspiration, I woke up some rusty old passion for drawing. I don’t think I’ve ever said it before here, but I’m (used to be, actually) a decent draw. This is a sketch I made an hour ago, I figured @Beatlebug will fancy it, not because of a passion for jazz but for her passion for drawing; it’s a 70s Miles

Online The permanent crown had arrived at the dentist office so Ohhh Boy got it put on and doesn’t have to make another trip to their office.
The vet seems to think Sacher Torte will get better. She has medicine to take for the next 4 days.

Offline Just got back from Farnborough Hospital. I’d been feeling rough for a few days and blacked out on Saturday evening, giving my forehead a nasty knock on a bag of glass bottles waiting to be thrown out. Big bump on forehead. Rang NHS 111 to see if I needed to get checked out, they sent an ambulance, 48 hours observation, just in case because I live on my own. Freed just after lunch today.

Online Oh, no. @Expert Textpert, I was hoping you two would work it out.
Sacher Torte has taken a turn for the worse. Ohhh Boy took her back to the vet. They did a blood test. Her platelet count is 13. It should be 200. He thinks he knows what it is…a reaction to a wasp sting she got about 3 weeks ago. She has to stay there a few days on an IV. There’s a chance she won’t pull through.

Online Updates…Ahhh Mom’s surgery went well. The pain meds are starting to wear off. Here comes the pain.
Sacher Torte responded well to the iv meds so she got to go home tonight. She’s not totally out of the woods, but at least she is a bit better for now.

Offline The weather is starting to warm up here and and the days are getting a bit longer. I’m liking it. Good for getting outside and feeling more optimistic and full of life. Makes the music sound better too I feel.
