Offline Howdy @The Hole Got Fixed! Finally made it to the beach yesterday.
Happy parents, kids and dogs took the edge off of the social distancing. So many smiles. Weather was awesome (68d with a little breeze) and gentle waves lapped the shoreline right up to the sunset. I’ve never gotten so much pleasure from burying my hands in the warm sand.

Offline The coronavirus is not the reason for them not returning, although it was the reason for the initial cancellation. Salary disputes between the players’s association and the owners were not able to be resolved, and therefore we will not have baseball. Its a real shame that the teo parties aired their dirty laundry in public, only for the negotiations to fall apart over relative peanuts.

To be fair, only Charlie Brown wanted to really play. The rest had admitted they were rubbish and were happy to go and enjoy their days elsewhere. At times it got embarrassing.
I’m off work after today for four days and I am very much in last day at school mode. No interest in all that chatty nonsense; get in, get the day done by with as little fuss and excitement as possible and then home free. At the moment it’s feeling like two weeks.
And yes, all my posts in here are about working or not but, in life, at the moment, that’s all there is. It’s very depressing so I try not to think about it too much.

Offline A coworker’s favourite tree blew away during recent storms, and I said “wait and another one might blow in.”
They said nothing, and it reminded me of this YouTube comment I saw: I think ppl take John a bit too seriously. He thinks being dry and sarcastic is funny and if you don’t have the same sense of humor, that’s fine

Offline Had to gave a toenail removed. I chose the temporary option. I hope a new nail grows in nicely. If not, then it is the acid treatment to permanently remove it.

I hope for the best AG! And may that toenail grow safely. I’ve been removed of a toenail myself and it is not pretty, four times actually (same toe tho), and luckily I was able to overcome it and keep my 10, so I can’t help but wish you a safe growing!

I lost the nail on one of my big toes once by virtue of dropping something heavy on it… Not pretty. It grew back OK but then I started getting ingrown toenails. Sigh. I actually think getting ingrown nails cut out with the acid is worse than losing the whole nail! Good luck, I’m sure you won’t have the same issues I did, we diabetics have all kinds of unpleasant foot stuff…

Offline Learned Swift, and am currently learning JavaScript and C++. Other than that been doing nothing but reading, watching Netflix, gaming, researching, and enjoying the sunshine. Also the Sims 4 and all its expansion and game packs are on sale (50% and more off, I believe) so imma snatch those up while I can afford them.
