That’s probably my favorite poster, Although I have two posters arranged like this: which I really like
The poster I have of the stones at the fourth rail bridge is taken from a different photo, but the gist is that the Abbey Road zebra crossing aligns with the gaps in the bridge

Having been at work more than home for the last seven days (that’s not a joke or overstating for effect, I’ve done the numbers with the hours), I have four days off. Add on top of that having birds chirping away for hours at 4:30am every morning so I am woken up due to how hot it is and the window is open, and I am knackered. Totaly and utterly knackered.
Have ordered an electric fan tho and that’s coming tomorrow – tho Amazon tried to deliver today when I had deliberately opted for Monday and so no one was in.

I’m at a pretty weird point in my life. This year I started my first year at university, and I’m having virtual exams (in fact, I have one tomorrow). This quite demotivated me. It looked like it was going to be a good year, but since March everything got worse. I don’t know what to do.
Despite that, I am having a very good time in terms of music. I’m writing several songs (very bad, but at least it’s something) and I’m playing guitar and bass a little better. Today I learned the rhythmic basis of She Said She Said . Something good among so much trash.

I was debating whether or not to just post this in the Led Zeppelin thread, but I think that this transcends the realm of being simply something Led Zeppelin-related.
A birthday/Christmas present has finally arrived (and how fitting it really is, as it would have been John Bonham’s 72nd birthday today!). I’ve been waiting nearly half a year for it to come, and now, at long last, it’s here:
(I don’t know why these two pictures are sideways, as they aren’t that way in my gallery, but now is not the time to fiddle with them!)
I’ll admit, I cried when I opened up the box for the first time. I could not believe it; I still can’t believe it. It’s just as tremendous as I had hoped. To think that Jimmy Page has not only had something this incredible made and has overseen every little detail, but has also signed this, touched this, and now it is mine… I just… wow.
Maybe it seems like just a book to you, but to me, it is something so much more. To say I am a very proud and happy WeepyC is most definitely an understatement.

Also that “images uploading sideways” problems happen to me all the time– is this perhaps in issue we should bring up in the “Weird things….” thread?

My internet connection has been being a pain again the last few days, and has been a total bee-hatch since about lunchtime yesterday, not connecting for more for much more than five minutes at a time before cutting out and refusing to connect for at least fifteen, twenty minutes; at its worst it was out for an over and hour. In the network and internet, looking at the Mobile settings, it was often saying it was connected but there was no service, and the status settings was showing as unconnected.
I was feeling like banging my head on the fecking coffee table.
Then, a couple of hours ago, as I was looking for possible solutions on my phone, looking for whatever I could find on “3 laptop internet apn”, among the list of PEOPLE ALSO ASK questions, I saw “Why is my 3 internet not working?” and thought, “Worth a look,” not thinking it would say anything other than check connections and check apn. But it did:
Switch Wi-Fi off and check your connection. Your device might be trying to connect to a Wi-Fi network that’s just out of range, and this can cause issues with loading pages. In your internet browser, try to visit three.co.uk/my3. If this page opens, it means there isn’t a problem with your internet connection.
The one thing I hadn’t thought to do because I’ve never had it switched off on previous laptops. Living in a block of around 30 flats, there’s a lot of Wi-Fi around me, and so I’ve switched off everything in the settings to do with Wi-Fi, and have had a pretty stable connection for more than an hour now. It’s dropped out briefly two or three times, but almost instantly reconnected, and that could be to do with it being plugged into the left-hand side of the computer because all the USB ports are on the left, whereas my previous laptops had a USB on the right, and I always used that for the internet; so the direction it’s pointing may be causing some slight problems, but that can be easily enough solved by getting a USB hub and putting that over on the side my dongle’s always gone so it’s back to pointing in the direction it always used to.
But, fingers and toes crossed, touching wood, I may have finally solved my internet problem!!!

I can’t stand the lack of communication that goes on around my school– one teacher told me that I don’t need to turn in my school computer if I have summer work, and the principal also tells me the same when I ask, but then the freaking administrative secretary tells me that I need to turn it in no matter what when I show up to collect stuff from my locker and drop off my textbooks and I leave my school computer at home. Feck this, I’m just gonna keep it until they realize in a couple of weeks or so that I’m not gonna turn it in.
Also I’m pissed b/c I can’t take computer science this year b/c AP Calc is scheduled during the same period for next year, which doesn’t make sense b/c there are literally so many seniors who requested both AP Calc AB and Comp Sci– didn’t they realize this when they were making the master schedule? I swear my school literally runs on the most illogical of thinking smh

Bring the schedule conflict to their attention. Maybe they will change the schedule. Wouldn’t hurt to try.

Thanks, @Ahhh Girl, that’s a good idea– in fact as soon as I read your post I called my guidance counselor. I had to leave a voicemail though– hopefully she gets back to me.

Looks like switching off the Wi-Fi definitely worked, just the occasional drop out on signal today, none of which has lasted much more than seconds.

Trying to quit drinking and it’s hard.
I have been sober since February. I picked the wrong year to give up drinking and smoking pot.
It’s very hard. Have you considered AA? The meetings are held virtually now. If you’re interested, hit me up…

Was in a deep drinking mode for a while, and when I moved back across the country I tried to quit, but it only lasted a few weeks. Really damn hard right now.

I’d ignore the secretary and if she moans later on point to what the principle says.
Yeah, as AG says, highlight their stupidity and hope they are not so power crazy that they refuse to correct it, at the very least get a reason why it’s been scheduled that way.
I don’t drink at home (a self-imposed rule). I always say I could have become an alcoholic after my dad died but my health issues stopped me, one of the few benefits it gave. I’ve never been much of a drinker and get bored after a couple of pints so have to switch but at the time I had days to waste doing nothing and so was going up to my local town for a walk just to get out the house and so would go to the pub. As I couldn’t get drunk (I’m allowed a drink but it is not recommended I get drunk due to if anything happened to me) I’d have one, maybe two, then leave.
