I was DISMAYED when I read my prompt, a feeling that only escalated when I read through the documents and became full-blown panic when it was time to start writing. I kept changing direction partway through and having to go back to rewrite my thesis because I had NO IDEA what I was doing. I also had some timing issues so I had no time at all to check my essay against the rubric. I’m honestly relieved I managed to finish. There’s no way in hell I got a 5 but I think a 3 might be in the realm of possibility (I managed to stuff 4 pieces of evidence from the documents in there, here’s hoping I used it right). After the exam I said NEVER AGAIN and then remembered I have to do 3 more next week.

Was looking forward to a bit of relaxation but there’s no time, I paced the house mentally reviewing the exam for a few minutes and then sat down to do some studying for APES.

In short, it could have gone better. I’m glad yours went so well though a-hard-days-night-george-9

After like 3 hours of cracking (which I suck ata-hard-days-night-ringo-10) I was able to download GTA SA for Mac and Imma spend my Saturday on it.

Also I’ve been trying to go forward with composing my mf album after a creative rut, yesterday I somehow finished a track I’ve been working on for over a month and I’m very proud of it, at this pace I’ll finish in like fifty-five years.

Was able to meet up with a friend for a (socially distanced) walk yesterday, which was fun. Right now I’m watching Doctor Who, eating yogurt, and thinking about going for my walk before tea.

I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Fed up. Having real problems getting the internet to be stable on this laptop. It keeps on not connecting, or cutting the connection, and when I go into the settings it tells me I need to apply an internet APN (Access Point Name). I’ve had to add the same APN time after time and it keeps refusing to see it after it drops out, telling me again that I have no APN and need to apply one. Last count I had seven identical APNs that I have to keep adding to when it tells me I have no APN. I’ve got multiple APNs, you fecking thing. Don’t know whether it’s the network or the laptop, but it’s fecking me off.

Don’t know whether it’s the laptop, @Ahhh Girl, or the network, so would probably be difficult to return it as faulty. What I may do is try a Vodafone dongle when I can. They’ve failed on me before, but that was before I knew about APNs. Might work better now I know I need to enter Vodafone’s APN if it doesn’t load automatically.

Currently annoyed at myself that I’m missing a Zoom call with my university house to do a dumb ‘what skills have you learnt this year’ assignment for a subject I’m not even going to be taking in a few months time. Ugh.

I was just commenting you’ll soon be able to meet up with more than one friend, not commenting on whether you should have been meeting the one friend you did. Here in England we’re now allowed to meet one person outside of the household so long as it’s outside, meaning I hope to meet up with a friend sometime this week and go and sit by the river opposite me for a chat.

Ah no you’re fine 😉

I think there are plans for a picnic in the gardens across the road. Might do a barbeque. Weather is meant to be good next week so once the only one who is actually employed is not working we’ll be able to sort something out.

The Continuing Story Of Lefty’s Medical (Mis)Adventures’ latest installment:

Had to get two rounds of bloodwork done in the last two weeks, and apparently there’s some whacky stuff going on with my liver, but my doctors have no idea what. I’m mostly asymptomatic, besides some pretty noticeable fatigue, so at the moment we don’t know what’s going on. But considering how bored I am during this quarantine and how used to medical issues I am, this is honestly a somewhat welcome (if not quite ideal) distraction. I’ll probably post updates here if anything significant happens.
