Lazing in my back garden, on my garden furniture, with the sun shining down, slight breeze, birds chirping and music playing. Occasionally i’ll stir and rustle the fire into life.

Some days the lockdown is a delight. Not allowed to go anywhere means no guilt doing nothing at all; I’m doing my bit for all humanity by doing sod all.

Currently David Bowie is singing ‘Changes’.

I wish I could laze around and do so much of nothing. I have to work from home, and each day is spent trying to figure out how to do new things instead of just doing the activities I’m comfortable doing at the library.

I must say that I’m thankful for my job, though, and that I’m getting paid. Some people are going to get into some deep financial trouble because of this crisis.

I have a Fire Stick so for the first time in about 8 years I can watch On Deman Tv on my Tv. I’m also going to make a steak pie today and banana bread as I finally have all I need to do so (batteries for scales, baking trays etc, I had the ingredients already). I’ll make scones over the weekend as I love a scone.

I was emailing a girl I knew from my past before the shops all were closed or restricted, saying how we’d catch up and go for a coffee. She hasn’t replied since, but I think all is okay. Everyone is just hibernating and waiting, because we can’t really meet up properly anyway. But my hope is to get in touch a day or so after things open up to see how she’s going. Hopefully we can go somewhere. That’s what I’ve been thinking about and holding on to. I’ll get tidied up and summon my natural charm! john-lennon-salute_gif

I’m taking advantage of the fact that I won’t have to meet with anybody for a while so I cut my hair and I’m growing a mop topa-hard-days-night-john-6

Maybe when it reaches my eyebrows I’ll recreate the With the Beatles cover and make it my profile pic just like I did with Dylan, but I’m still deciding what to do with it.

So I just played music through my laptop’s speakers so loudly I think I’ve broken them… They still work but there’s hideous distortion on any volume that’s useful.

Feck feck feck! It’s not like I can get it fixed now with the isolation problems, and I do use them regularly. Damnationspaul-mccartneya-hard-days-night-paul-3a-hard-days-night-paul-3a-hard-days-night-paul-3

Not good…hopefully you can get it sorted somehow.

I went to the coast and supported an ice cream shop that was still open today. It was a hot day and I had my ray bans on (these were my Dad’s and they’re originals) and the wind was nice on my face.

And thanks to everyone who gave me the likes on my other post above. I’m really waiting for that day to come.

Damn, that’s irritating. Reminds me of the time I stepped on my headphones whilst they were under some clothes on the floor and snapped them. Maybe you could order a bluetooth speaker to use for the same purpose?

Today lovelymother, lovelysister, and I dyed some eggs in psychedelic colors using a water-marblingesque technique and also made a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting (and I also finished yet another season of Frasier but my binge-watching habits are beside the point)

IMG_5080.jpgImage Enlarger

I’m so excited to eat this cake tomorrow! I’m also excited because it’ll be the first Easter in a looooonggg time where I won’t have to dress up and get all fancy. paul-mccartney-thumb_gif

Also, I just realized via looking at my phone storage that if I keep downloading music and saving Beatles pics and memes to my phone at this rate then I’ll be out of storage by next week. I guess I can undownload a lot of music from my phone, considering I’m not really going places where I can’t stream. Even if I’m on a walk I can always just download an album to listen to and then undownload it when I’m done, or even just use all the extra data me and my family has.

Ah well, have a pleasant Easter tomorrow, everyone! heart

Easter! Chocolate!!

I can eat lots of chocolate today. Have been restraining myself but it would only be fair to join the masses and indulge.

Happy Easter, everyone!

I haven’t been bingeing TV because parents but I’ve been speeding through That 70’s Show in the past month or so (they’re so short I can watch like 3 in an hour). I also just started Poldark.

I stupidly ruined my favourite headphones in February by cutting through the right earpiece wire with scissors. Trimming the jazz beard while listening to Sleater-Kinney. Stupid! blue-meanie

Temperature’s hovered barely above freezing most of the week, but Tuesday was nice and warm enough to fill some bare patches on the lawn with sod and seed. Today’s pretty nice out too, so I’ll probably go rake up last autumn’s leftover leaves (snow surprised us in November).

@WeepingAtlasCedars  I really have no idea where St. Catharines is, I guess! I was under the impression it was somewhere not terribly far from Windsor.

I also had a filmy/tv day- nothing actually Easter-ish though.

I watched Roman Holiday (one of my favourite films), two episodes of House and two episodes of 30 Rock.
