Wonderful to hear that, TLAG. May you have many good times together ahead.
I’d forgive anyone just about anything if they quoted I Will at me.

So, I got a text Out Of The Blue last night from a very good friend who had cut me out of her life almost exactly a year ago. She sent me a very sincere apology, and while there’s still a lot we have to work out, I accepted it and I’m hoping we can become friends again. This little detail you all will appreciate: when I told her I needed some space to think about things (turned out to be only about five minutes, but whatever), she said she’d be willing to wait “a lonely lifetime, if you want me to”. God , why does she have to know so well how to melt the ice in my heart? I Will was always one of her favorite Beatles songs, and she often played it when we’d drive around in her car.
That’s amazing. I’d pursue that if I were you. Especially now with the gloom of coronavirus.

If folk reach out, meaning it, then why turn them down.
In a time when most news is just completely s**t and scary, this is needed.
As Paul sang
Is it better to love one another
Than to go for a walk in the dark?
Is it better to love than to give in to hate?
Yeah we’d better take good care of each other
Avoid slipping back off the straight and narrow,
It’s better by far than getting stuck in a figure of eight.

Finally became impossible to ignore the virus.
- One of my daughter’s workmates was on the first leg of the cruise that has been quarantined in Oakland. Everyone in her building has been sent home for 14 days.
- All schools in our area are closed through the end of the month. Grandson’s 8th grade trip to DC is cancelled.
- My mom is 86 next week and her birthday party is cancelled. Our travel plans for the year are on hold.
- Spent an 1 1/2 hours in line at grocery store this morning. Everyone was in pretty good moods though with lots of joking around.
Ready for a couple of weeks tending to the garden, after this big storm blowing in from the coast is over.

Honestly, this social distancing thing is just life as usual for me. INTROVERTS RISE UP… separately… in your own homes! eh @AppleScruffJunior? I’m just chillin’, after a hard day’s night yard-work, having a nice holiday in Greece and Morocco through the power of appropriate music and google images and drawing like I always do.

Late last August, I got pretty sick. Nothing life-threatening, but I had a fever for a solid week and I had a cold for a month and a half afterward. I went to see the doctor so I could get a sick note for work. Before I saw the doctor, the nurse weighed me and I was astonished. I weighed ten pounds heavier than I thought I did and, more importantly, I was nearly forty-five pounds heavier than I was when I graduated college less than five years before. I really don’t want to get into it, but my illness caused another health problem and I had to see the doctor again a week or two later. The whole time I had been sick, I had had no appetite whatsoever. When the nurse weighed me two weeks later, I had lost a full ten pounds. It was shortly after this that I decided that I ought to keep going. I set a goal to go back down to the weight I was when I graduated college. This morning, after nearly seven months, I met that goal. As of today, I am forty-two pounds below what I was seven months ago. It has been difficult, at times frustrating, but ultimately rewarding. I have learned much about myself, such as what my body can stand and what it needs vs. what it wants. The hardest part? Losing the last ten pounds. The first thirty-odd were fairly easy to lose, but progress on the last ten was much more slow-going. The easiest part? Having a flexible goal. Though I always sought to lose the same amount of weight, I never had any set date to be that weight by. Frankly, I probably would have given up a long time ago if I was being more strict. Not holding myself to a date allowed me to be more forgiving with myself whenever there was a setback.
Oh, also, I haven’t had a drink in seven months due to being on a diet, so there’s that.
TL:DR: Guy gets sick, loses weight eventually.

nice Bray Wyatt gif @meanmistermustard
so I’m moving back to my parents’ place in Alberta next month. have really mixed feelings about doing so at 27/28 (I turn 28 on the 5th). on top of that, my hours have been cut because of coronavirus-related budget slashing at my work. gonna be an interesting last couple weeks here.

The Fiend is/was the best thing to happen in WWE for a good while, shame Vince is a prat and has no idea how to run a company properly; AEW is far better. I don’t see a lot, more bits here and there.
Sorry to hear that things appear to be on a sort of a downward spiral, hopefully, it will get better in time.

Fab to see you back Necko! And I’m happy to hear you’re doing well.
As for the Bray Wyatt gif, RIP Firefly Fun House- truly gone too soon.
I was up at my Granddad’s today keeping him company and during this tumultuous time, we watched a heartwarming film ‘The Towering Inferno’. I made sure to remind him, ‘hey, there’s a deadly disease going around but at least you’re not in a burning skyscraper’. He thought we should have watched Dad’s Army instead.
