@trcanberra, any luck getting that bank problem sorted out?
Not really – they are stalling, the other house is falling apart, my roof is leaking and I have no money to fix it. On a positive note – only 6 more months until I am able to file for divorce (we need to be separated for 12 months down here before we can do it). Luckily the government agreed we are separated even though she moved back into the other side of the house to annoy me – so the countdown continues
@trcanberra, you have to push banks incredibly hard to get them to admit their crappiness. Think of it as trying to move a 3k block of cement, it will move eventually but you have to be persistant – oh and bug the hell out of them, if they say it will take 8 weeks dont wait that long as they will do nothing for at least the first 55 days. Chip away, but not with a pneumatic drill. Did you manage to get help from some professionals who know how to deal with them?
And how big is your house if your delectable wife has taken up residency at the other side? I doubt you’re sharing breakfast with bacon sandwiches.
You could have a raffle to raise money to fix your roof and fix the result.

@Ron Nasty. Yes everything is fine and back to normal.
@UnidentifiedFiendishThingy be grateful that you live in the US. In India proper sanitation is a problem and the corrupt government didn’t do anything. Only now our new Prime Minister has started to take some action.

Getting my First Year Certificate tomorrow. In case anyone wanted to know, I’m studying Social Educational Care (I think I’ve told this before but now I know the official English name for it, lol). Only 5 people of my class are getting it (and that’s a lot, because on average, from other classes only 2 people are getting it, and that’s out of 20), so I feel a bit special and smart for a change. Anyway, it’s a whole ceremony and all, so that should be fun. I’m curious what other people’s parents will look like too. I’m always curious for those things.
It’s at 7 pm and I’m off from school at 14.45 so there’s not much time to go home and eat so my mom and sister will come to Enschede (that’s where my University of applied sciences is) and we’ll go shopping and then out for dinner and then off to school again. It’s a bit weird though, I could only take two people to the thing. My dad couldn’t come anyway, but this means my brother will be left alone at home. Poor thing.

Cheers. I have been in touch with the banking ombudsman but it seems I am a victim of the fine print syndrome and should have known better – so I may have to wait until we sell the ‘investment’ place to fix things up.
The residential place we have is quite big – four bedrooms, a separate study (where I am now on one of the PCs in there – my son has one next to me), family room, games area (the video game stuff – 5 games consoles and large TV) plus lounge (with film projector and 10 foot or so screen), dining, kitchen etc. It’s upside-down with the bedrooms downstairs and my bedroom is at the opposite end of the house from you-know-who.
I like that raffle idea

Personally i’d have a good go at the bank as some of their fine print is a joke and impossible to find never mind understand, but you may be get nowhere sadly. Fecking fine print – Page 287, clause 348, section AAF, sub-section 29.45, paragraph J: “the client assumes and agree to take all responsibility and blame for any f**k-ups we do as well as waiving their right to any help to getting it sorted and/or even daring to think about applying for financial reimbursement for any said over-sites that we carry out. Additionally they agree to paying us £250 for not noticing our mistakes and notifying us in advance of them happening thereby making us look like the incompetent morons that we actually are but will never admit to.”
You’re house sounds very nice. How much you looking for it, tho i doubt you’ll sell it for some baked beans (one of Ringo’s favourites they are)?
Re the raffle idea search online for ‘Think Fast, Father Ted‘, (series 2 episode 2 of ‘Father Ted’), that’s where i stole it from. If nothing else it will make you laugh.

^ The house I described is the residential one, the ‘investment’ one we can’t sell is even nicer (all of the above plus a nice pool and Japanese contemplation garden with pond) and is listed for $AU560,000 (and we paid $AU600,000 with sales tax). Well, we loaned that amount, not paid

I also like Baked Beans – I am becoming Ringo (without the money and Barbara Bach).

I am so annoyed with my friend. She called Paul cocky, self absorbed and conceited just because he in an interview three years ago said that one direction will never be as good as the Beatles.

Congratulations @Linde!
In my life: I feel terrible, absolutely terrible. Last night I was throwing up about every half hour. I feel so sick and weak. I even passed out when I tried to walk to the bathroom cause I suddenly found myself lying on the floor… It’s because I haven’t eaten or drank anything, because if I do, I will just throw up again…
Normally when I’m sick, I just stay at home, watch tv, do my homework, read, etc. but now I hardly have any energy for anything, even typing this is tiring…

I hope you have a very quick recovery @Beatleva, do you know what is causing the sickness?
And well done @Linde on such an achievement. What does the ceremony consist of and how did it go?
@trcanberra, that is one nice house. If i wasnt over the other side of the globe i’d be turning up on your doorstep tomorrow with suitcase in hand.

She cannot handle the sheer truthfulness of that statement.
Also, feel better, @Beatleva. About five years ago I was sick like that, throwing up every 20 minutes. I know it’s not fun.

Sounds like you have a stomach flu, that would cause you to not be able to keep anything down.
That can be horrible, and I hope you feel better really quickly! If you feel you can drink, orange juice or something might help you get some nutrients without food.
more healing apples…
Congratulations, @Linde!!
