Had plans today but tiredness related to illness came flooding in and instead have spent it in the house. It’s frustrating feeling ok when sitting only to feel exhausted as soon as you move. Thankfully sport has been on TV for most of the day (let’s ignore the Six Nations). All will be back to normal in the morning.

Heh heh heh heh >:)

Since you mentioned it; England losing to France in Paris. Nice of England to cheer me up after yesterday.

And how the hell does your captain drop the ball 1 yard away from the touchline with no one near him to not get the try?

We weren’t much better, mmm. It was simply a case of which s***e team is the least s***e.

We have been s*****r for far longer, the experience at being so really helped us.

Currently watching the US version of rugby where Shakira is still going in the music business. The Six Nations should do its own half-time shows. Obviously Scotland would only have Lulu and Captain Jack from Doctor Who involved as they sum up our entire entertainment history.

Hey, I recognise a song. It’s from J-Lo.

What is the point of all this guff? Sad times when I’d rather have four pundits talking. I’m getting very old.

I just bought a pair of new Doc Martens and I’m just wearing them today and lemme tell you breaking them in is not fun. I’m awkwardly walking/limping throughout the school and I got a blister on my heel. At least they make me look and feel really cool ahdn_john_08_gifahdn_john_08_gif

I bought a pair of boots in December and only in the last few days have they finally broken in.

After eight days off, I return to work tomorrow. Doing nothing and letting the days drift by does have some benefits.

Hi everyone!

I’ve had a mild illness for the past few days and missed a couple days of school. I, being the master procrastinator that I am, spent most of yesterday and Monday mindlessly watching Disney+ attempting to finish up the mountain of missing work that I have from school. I ended up watching the entire first season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series a-hard-days-night-ringo-12, and I don’t know whether I’m okay with it or I extremely dislike it. I mean, it’s relatable coming from a theatre kid but annoying because of the predictable plot and 2019-esque original songs. It’s basically Disney-fied Glee on a low budget, but it’s good to watch when you’re sick and have nothing better to do (other than your homework that you’re ignoring).

I’m going back to school tomorrow, hopefully I’ll be able to catch up in algebra and Spanish.

Have a great day everyone! heart

P.S.

I have to agree with you, ASJ, Comic Sans is an awful font.

Yesterday I had to write a timed DBQ (document-based question) in APUSH and I wasn’t able to finish completely but I feel like I got my main argument and evidence down so I hope that means I won’t fail it. Pray for me and my DBQ, even if you’re not religious. I have to get at least a 3/7 in order to get a 100% (don’t ask why my teacher does things weird).

My presence has been off and on in the forum for the last few months.  School, work and the holidays have had me busy, however, you can make time for anything if you want to.  I’m gonna do my best to come on here at least a couple of times a week.  It’ll do me good, as I currently get 0 days off a week with school and work combined.

I’ve been working on my CD collection lately in my little free time.  I have become interested in collecting the different remasters of the Beatles and solo albums.

I’ve made attempts to go on a number of dates since October, all of which have ended in rejection.  That may or may not be a cause of the great increase in my music collection.

Everything else has been pretty normal.  In the last week, I have become in charge of the Assassins game that a group of students plays at the institute building.  I played a version of the game in high school with markers, but this one is played with plastic spoons.  Essentially you get a plastic spoon with a name on it and you have to go find that person and break the spoon on them which kills them in the game.  You then get the spoon that they have which has another name on it, and thus you repeat the process.  There’s also a person that has a spoon with your name on it that’s after you.  You don’t know who it is, so you have to be careful to avoid everyone playing.

It’s a fun game, and last semester they did a couple of rounds.  After their second round, they added me to the group chat.  A couple of weeks ago someone suggested we start another round, so I volunteered to set it up and essentially be the overseer(think President Snow from the Hunger Games).  It’s been fun to run the game and watch it all play out.  They also sometimes add a golden spoon that is hidden in the building for any player dead or alive to find. The player that finds it can use it when they’re dead to kill one of the living players and take their place in the game.  I added one to this game, but the person that found it is still alive, and I’m pretty sure he’s gonna win, so it may not get used in this game.

Anyway, I sort of just rambled on, but yeah I’m still alive.

Fecked off with my landlord’s maintenance subcontractor.

They needed to do a gas safety inspection and, for various reasons, mostly theirs, it hadn’t been done. For instance, the last appointment I was asked if I wanted the engineer to call me when he was on his way. I said that that would be great, especially as the door intercom was broken at time. The engineer didn’t phone, tried used the broken door intercom when he arrived, and then just reported it as a denial of access.

Anyway, they sent me another appointment for today, saying it would be PM. I logged into the website this morning and it said the visit would be between 13:05 and 15:10. So, I popped over the shops at just after 10. When I got back about quarter-to-11, my locked meter cupboard in the communal hall had been crowbarred open, and he’d stuck some stupid sign in there, above the gas pipes, saying, “DANGER! DO NOT USE!”

I do not use gas, I’m all electric, was like that when I moved in over twenty years ago. There are two sealed and capped gas pipes in the cupboard with a gap between them where a meter would go. What the hell would I possibly be using disconnected and sealed gas pipes for?

So, this guy breaks open my meter cupboard, busting the lock, leaves a stupid note that makes no sense because I have no gas supply to use, and uses the excuse (I assume) that I wasn’t in the morning though that was because I was given an afternoon appointment.

Big argument with them coming tomorrow or Friday I think.

Wow, look at the news I miss when I’m gone.  Screw that subcontractor, he sounds like he’s trying to make you look bad, or maybe he can’t his scheduling together, which definitely shouldn’t fall on you.  Ditto to what Ahhh Girl said.  I hope you telling them off produced some satisfying results.

My housing association and their subcontractor are currently arguing over who has to fix the damage, making the meter cupboard secure again, though both agree it shouldn’t be me as I could not be expected to be in when I was given a different time.

A tornado hit my neighborhood on Friday (which makes no sense, I live on the East coast of the US). My family’s fine, but it hit right when I got on the bus to go to school. Luckily my bus pulled over at the local elementary school or we likely would have ended up in the tornado’s path. School ended up staying in session all day even though we had no power, so we didn’t really do any actual work. It seemed like a strange decision at the time, but looking back it would have been difficult given how many trees fell into the roads. Everything turned out ok in the end, the day was just a little chaotic.

Have a great day everyone. heart
