We have a lesson on a boy named Dhani in Hindi. And every time it comes I think of George Harrison . (FYI Dhani means wealthy)

That’s good, @LittleBeatlemaniac, I never knew that. I always thought Dhani was just George’s idea of a pleasant variation of Danny. Or maybe a tribute to John’s impromptu ditty on the rooftop: “Oh Dhani Boy…”

Mr. KiteI say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.

Dhani was named Dhani after a few notes on the Indian music scale or something like that, Dha and Ni, IIRC

Although I haven’t been posting on the forum much, I have been trying to keep up with what’s happening, particularly on this thread. To everyone whose posts I haven’t read or have been unable to keep up with, good luck to all of you
It’s easy to fall behind with the forum I’ve noticed. I’ve been too busy lately to really be on here much but I’m going to try

Today, during art I burned myself with a glue gun.
Now I can happily shout, “I’ve got blisters on my fingers!” Well, it’s only one small blister (and my nail got burned), but it hurts like hell.
When life hands you lemons…
Love the positive outlook. I hope your fingers heal quickly.

@LongHairedLady Reply to your post in Whatever Happened To… (stopping derailing that thread too much).
It has been an interesting year, but not necessarily a good one! Most memorable bit of the year so far has been heart surgery.
So, you’ve moved! (Something about the White Album poster not going up yet?) How are you finding the new place? Better than the last, I hope. And how is work now, same job, different job?
It is good to have you back! You have been missed!

@Ahhh Girl I’ve been feeling better lately. Not great, but pretty darn good.
I exercised too hard recently and ended up straining my hamstrings. It hurt to straighten or lift my leg for more than a week. I’m better now.

@Ron Nasty, have you undergone heart surgery Ron? I hope you are OK now. I mean it.

@Oudis Thanks for your wishes, I’m not doing too bad.
I have a bit of a dodgy heart, suffering from cardiomyopathy and a leaking mitral valve. To take some of the pressure off my heart, I underwent surgery at the end of July to fix the mitral valve. It was a largely successful operation, which has left me with one heart problem instead of two.
One mustn’t complain. I am thankful to live in a country where healthcare is free!

Glad to hear you are ok @Ron Nasty. As for healthcare systems, why can’t the American govt suck it up and give everyone free health care. How I despise neo-cons
I decided to text that girl again earlier today. She hasn’t responded yet, but she usually took a while to respond so hopefully she is ok. Frankly, I’m really not trying to see if she likes me, although I really like her, I just want to know that she is ok.
Look its a thingy! A fiendish thingy!

Not really – they are stalling, the other house is falling apart, my roof is leaking and I have no money to fix it. On a positive note – only 6 more months until I am able to file for divorce (we need to be separated for 12 months down here before we can do it). Luckily the government agreed we are separated even though she moved back into the other side of the house to annoy me – so the countdown continues
