I feel I owe you all updates on my exams, even though probably none of you care.
Database went I think well today. I think all of the answer I gave were right, there were some tricky MCQs but they weren’t worth much marks anyways.
Now onto HRM that I’m sitting in a little over 13 hours and haven’t really done any study for- huzzah!

I wish everyone who is taking finals the best of luck!!!
Today Pittsburgh got its first big snow of the year so things were a bit dangerous. The streets weren’t salted yet this afternoon so on my home from school (listening to “Mull Of Kintyre “) I almost wiped out, but luckily I caught myself!
I also have a jazz concert tonight I’ve been practicing my trumpet and the music a lot so hopefully I’ll do fine!
And I have to memorize this monstrosity for a pre-calc test tomorrow:

^Oh that’s just cruel.
I just want to say Beatles Radio on TuneIn Radio has been my best friend throughout my exams. I’m by myself in my apartment and I like noise or hustle/bustle happening when I’m working so I put it at the lowest volume it can be.
I’ve listened to it so much though that I’m starting to hear the same covers over and over again. There’s one who sounds almost exactly like an older Paul singing Yes It Is , it’s quite eerie.

Ugh, the unit circle…
I learnt an easy trick as to how to memorise it this year… but I’ve forgotten already!
Good luck test takers.

@lovelyritametermaid Good luck with your jazz concert, I play trumpet too
As for me, I’m about to go defend my barely passing grade in Algebra 2. I did the final calculator thing, and the best grade I can get for the semester is a 79%

Am I the only one who didn’t have to learn that monstrosity? I think the worst we had was just remembering the standard deviation places and a few stupid formulas that I could never remember anyways.
In saying that I didn’t do Applied Maths (we call it Higher Level) in my final two years in school so maybe that played a part but I don’t remember my one friend who did do HL (as you can see it’s not very common here) complaining about it.

Best wishes to anyone taking finals, those sound awful . I’ve been having to take a large math benchmark over the past few days that could make or break my grade and a chance for a high school credit. Remember to take care of yourselves, Forumpudlians!
I just found out today that I won a county-wide poetry contest (that I forgot I entered) and will be moving to state finals soon! I’m slightly nervous but excited at the same time.

A girl at my work has her own Film Reviewing website so for the last month or so I have been writing reviews for her which has been good because I am a film buff and I like to write.
You can read my reviews here:

But feel free to browse the website and read the other reviews as well.

Exam Update #4:
Went well again I think, the MCQs I knew were coming up- I got the answers right to. For a few I didn’t know, I’m very confident with my answers and about 4 others I’m slightly dodge on but what can be done.
As regards my essay she said in class she would like minimum 4 pages of quality writing with 2 author references. Well, I just got a bit carried away wrote about 12 pages and about 12 author references >.>
I hope she enjoys reading what Robertson and Smith think about CVs and Application Forms- the answer is not positively.
Well folks, only one left tomorrow.
Then I’m going to order a massive pizza, watch House, and collapse from exhaustion.

Had another swim meet today: swam the 100 butterfly for the first time in years and got 2nd in the 100 breaststroke
I took a chem test today and I knew nothing on it so yeah probably failed oh well I’ll study more next time (if I actually begin to understand chem next time. I’m 100% a physics person and I’m so glad I’m planning on being an engineer and not a chemist) But I got a perfect on my unit circle test in pre-calc!
Tomorrow’s the last day of school before Christmas break and I am so ready to relax and finish the third season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and catch up on The Mandalorian ( though I also have to write my term paper for APUSH over the break as well as start reading and annotating a book for AP Language and Comp. )

We’re currently suffering through our hottest December day ever – well over 44C (111F) in much of Melbourne.
And of course with this comes bushfires, and there’s a hell of a lot of them in Australia currently.
Officially I’ve hit 44.4C (112F) already and will probably hit 45 by the end of the day… which wouldn’t be too bad except for this will soon be the new normal.
Edit: Ended up reaching 45.2C (113.4F). Utterly hideous day.

Would you like me to bring over a few ships, tie those ships to Australia and have the ships pull Australia a bit further down the southern hemisphere? I could have say, Brisbane parallel with Tasmania, if that would help you in any way?

Sounds utterly lousy, @The Hole Got Fixed, and I’ve heard Saturday could be the third time this week you break national temperature records.
Still, at least that nice Scott Morrison is winging his way back to you early from his holiday to sort out the situation. After all, he knows all about climate change…
