I just received the gift of an advent calendar from a certain mod (who we will refer to as Silver in accordance to the periodic table).
I don’t really do advent calendar’s. 24 days of 1 piece of chocolate a day. Don’t have the patience.
This is much better than a piece of chocolate a day though – a selection of 24 craft beers.
Still unlikely to be treated like an advent calendar, but though I will likely disrespect its one a day motive, Nasty is very happy.
Happy Thanksgiving to all our American friends.

I went to my grandparents’ house for Thanksgiving. I’ve really been enjoying this break, even though I have a paper, a chemistry test, an art critique, and a bunch of math due. Anyway, before eating my cousins and I spent the evening coloring together, sprawled out on the floor while everyone else watched football. Eventually, we ended up sitting on the couch listening to Paul McCartney .
Happy Thanksgiving!!!

My cousins and some of my grandparents came over. My brother and my cousins and I played some board games, then we ate, then we all played Codenames and now we’re about to eat pie. Pie is very good. I am excited.

Went to wife’s aunt and uncle’s for Thanksgiving dinner, then came home and put up some seasonal decorations, lit a fire, and watched the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving cartoon. Now listening to Sandy Denny.

The pie has been finished. It was, in fact, very good. We watched some SNL and talked about weird dreams involving cloning, stuffed animals, mortality, and sharp rocks, and then everyone left. I like Thanksgiving.

My Dad’s side of the family came over for Thanksgiving, including my three-year-old cousin, who’s currently obsessed with Yellow Submarine and Octopus’s Garden

Got up at the crack of dawn yesterday to drive 6 hours, largely through idyllic late-autumn-tinted countryside, to overeat with one side of my dad’s family, wait a few hours, overeat with the other side of my dad’s family, sleep like a log, and drive 6 hours back today. Worth it? Yes. I love Thanksgiving.
My great-aunt (who shares a birthday with Elvis and Bowie, so she’s cool ) and I were chatting about guitars, and she told me she recently picked up a Gretsch acoustic for $29 in a thrift shop.

I woke up to rain this morning, which is excellent, because we need rain, but also is irritating because I needed to clean the rabbit cage & hutch today (I’m bunny-sitting my friend’s rabbit (who happens to be Val’s gf, they’re very cute together) so there’s two cages to clean).

I’m probably the bibler who mentions Detroit most often, so how appropriate that I’m looking at the metropolis’ downtown right now, one mile and one Detroit River north of me (yes that’s right: Canada is south of the motor city)! I’m with a group who went to the casino in Windsor, Ontario, where I once attended uni. No gambler, I used the occasion to go record shopping at Dr. Disc, where I spent many hundreds of hours in 1986-88…will post my purchases in the appropriate thread later in the day.

Tried on my old prom suit in preparation for a university winter ball in a couple days. Still fits, surprisingly.

I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

By the way, I was about 80 kilos, now I’m 67. Good eating and cycling did that.
