Currently watching ‘The A-Team’. One heck of a brilliant tv series, if you ignore series 5.
My brother (the soldier one, seems fitting) is a massive A-Team fan. I’m of the opinion he smokes cigars from time to time purely because of Hannibal.
So many explosions, so many shots fired, no one killed. I like to annoy him from time to time by playing the Boy George episode.
The Boy George episode is one of the most cringing tv episodes I’ve ever watched.
People did get killed in the A-Team; Fulbright got shot and killed in the last episode of season 4 and a mobster got thrown out a window to his death in season 1 (Hannibal and co being named as those responsible and a bounty put on their heads). Oh, and Hannibal was responsible for getting the actual murderer killed for the murder by writing a note to other mobsters, which was nice of him.
Currently Hulk Hogan is failing to act and doing a very good job of it too.

Today I saw ‘Annabelle Comes Home’ at the cinema. ‘Toy Story 4’ was creepier.
Also saw ‘Spider-Man Goes On Holiday’ or whatever it was called. The last Spider Man film was dreadful so very surprised the new one is that good.
As is my way, ‘Avengers: End Game’ is being screened in Glasgow on Tuesday so will go and see that.
More in-depth cinema reviews and insights coming your way soon.

^ Looking forward to it, I’ll probably see Yesterday Sunday week as I have nothing on that day, bar packing up for my return back to Potatoland.

I sent an an email to an old friend I haven’t spoken to in about a decade. This goes against my usual leave it in the past mentality. No joke, Toy Story songs You’ve Got A Friend In Me and Strange Things were the catalyst. I was listening to them at about 10.30 at night, in dead silence. The line “I had friends, I had lots of friends but all my friends are gone, and I’m doing the best I can to carry on” hit me between the eyes. I thought an email wouldn’t hurt, even if they didn’t reply. The next day I saw they replied and it seems the relationship can be rebuilt. Amazing really…it’s never too late. I think we both realise we’re not getting any younger.

Back to work tomorrow after a week off.
In other earth-shattering news, I put my washing out on the line tonight at 10:20 pm as it’s meant to be really sunny over the next few days and if not done now it’s not getting done until Monday night due to my working hours.

Two days ago I went to some clinic for contact lenses and braces. I’ll never forget how I screeched because I’m afraid of contacts, and how my mouth was pulled open by some funny-looking articles then invaded by tools (which made me feel like throwing up because of, um, gag reflex). Lovely memories.
Last night I received my first guitar and it looked wonderful. Learned to play a few basic notes. Now I’m continuing with that.

It’s just a common Yamaha acoustic guitar, said to be friendly to beginners.
I can play a few chords now, and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star(sounds like back to kindergarten )

I went to a funfair on Saturday, went on one of those spinny rides where you get thrown about the place. A lock of my hair got caught in between a tiny slit in the ride as I was being thrown about. I now have a very sore neck.

Update: I’m currently in Las Vegas and no offense to WSC or any other Vegas natives but I really hate it here. I walked about half the strip in 108 degree heat, amid the odor of sulphur and the booming pop and the… um… interesting people. The only redeeming quality of this day was my poke around the Beatles gift shop in the Mirage, it’s full of useless crap like mugs and pins and bottle openers with Beatles stuff plastered over it. mmm would hate it. I love it

My trip to Vegas was in October 2000. The heat wasn’t too bad then.

Wow. 110F in the evening makes the 95ish degree high I suffered through today seem balmy — no easy feat.
(41 and 35 degrees Celcius, respectively, for the rest of ye)

@The Hole Got Fixed
My final round of Germany-to-anywhere travels is on with my final destination being Budapest.
In Hanover airport, while going through security, my hat managed to fall out of the security box and into some grease (however the hell that happened). So my new sun hat now looks grotty. Security were surprised at how well I took it, I said ”eh these things happen”. I think I might be getting paid €20 though in ‘damages’ so I’m not going to complain about that. I also got to go to the security surveillance part of the airport to fill in some forms, oooh so unauthorised.

Ooh, two of my friends are in Budapest right now! I’d love to visit it someday..
I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Anyone else just get really exhausted by the world sometimes? Since I spend so much time thinking about and consuming media related to politics, I’ve been feeling pretty world weary lately, so tonight I’m shutting it all out, ordering a pizza and watching the Lord of the Rings
