Me and my mates have an inside joke about me living in my car, so about half an hour ago I tried sleeping in it. I returned to the house after about 3 minutes in the car because I set the alarm off twice, but when I went back in my family was all asleep except my grandmother, who had either not heard the alarm or ignored it. She was preoccupied with complaining about my grandma’s snoring!

I was off the grid for a couple days as I was visiting my WiFi-less great-grandmother in the rural depths of Georgia’s piedmont… which was very nice. I think I want to move to NoWifiStan.

Close to 2 weeks ago I was in Paris and I walked pretty much everywhere and then of course walked around the attractions, I was probably putting in a solid 8 hours walking a day. My body could cope with this for 3 days, on my fourth and final day my right knee went “no more” and it became really painful to put weight on it.
I’ve self-diagnosed it as tendonitis and I’ve been on anti-inflammatories the past 2 weeks. I’ve also been wearing a knee brace which people in the streets just seem to love staring at. Anyhoo, I’m on my 3rd week of travels (I go somewhere between Thursday and Saturday generally) so because I walk a lot there, I haven’t been able to rest it much.
I accidentally forgot to take my Diclac this morning before I walked to the airport and oh my £$$^*$~<!* God , I thought I was going to die. It was a 10 minute walk and by the end of it I was a disgusting mess.
Luckily, I have a break next week during which it better heal or I’ll be livid.

European Elections in the UK today and I’ve got roughly four-and-a-half hours to decide if I can be fecked to vote. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know, I’m one of those who goes on how important it is not to waste your vote. It’s already a wasted vote though given Brexit. But then there’s that slim chance of a second referendum, and the even slimmer chance of Brexit being overturned.
And then there’s the tricky bit of which of our dysfunctional and deluded political parties to vote for.
Decisions, decisions, decisions…
Hope the leg improves soon, @AppleScruffJunior. I definitely know what that one’s like after my recent weeks of painfully dragging myself around.

Just voted! I went with the Greens. I hope you do get out to vote @Ron Nasty , but if not, it’s not like the MEPs will be in office for long anyway and they don’t get much say over Brexit as it is.

Wandered down the road about 9:50 (my polling station is just a two or three minute walk down the road), stared at long list (22 options, most Independents I had no idea on their positions) for a bit, and went Lib Dem.
The shame is that those that support remain couldn’t pull themselves together to provide a strong remain option.

There were only a couple independents for me, one of which was Tommy Robinson. Needless to say, I did not choose him.
Today was lovely. I went into school for a revision session and then met with some friends, bought a picnic and lay out on the grass eating it. Oh how I’ve missed the sun.

Heres an update from swr because I haven’t checked in in a while.
I had a strong finish to the semester which I feel good about it.
I was back home for 3 days before getting my shoulder operation. I’ve just been hanging in listening to music, reading Batman comics and watching baseball while on narcotics. Should only be a few more days of that. Shoulder hurts a lot, hopefully only a few more days of that as well.
Typically I don’t spend as much time on the forum in the summer, but this summer might be a bit different because i’ll be recovering and rehabing the whole time. Either way, I plan to return to my normal posting habits once everything else in my life goes back to normal.
