Just spoke to a large organisation in regards to doing some volunteer work in one of their opportunities after getting an email to contact them a few weeks back (life has meant it hadn’t been possible earlier). The phone call involved an utter tosser insisting that i sign-up for anything without even seeing the details or being able to get there or they close my account immediately, i couldnt even go online to look at what was available to narrow down the options. Yeah sure, i’ll sign up for driving folk around Easterhouse at 6am in the morning when i dont have a driving license or stay anywhere close.
I got so fed up and annoyed i hung up.
Screw them!!
So, you try to do the right thing and they make it difficult to do so. Very nice – idiots.

I had a run-in at the bank and swore at the manager; first time I have done that in public and I feel a touch silly.
Reason being I am in advance on my house payments by $200,000 and have a ‘redraw’ facility whereby I am supposed to be able to get some of that back when needed (and then pay it off again over the life of the loan which technically has 14 years to run even though I only owe $300 on it now). Well, it seems that the bank teller put the wrong code on my payment advances and they are now ‘not accessible’ to me. As some of you know I have recently lost my car and have lots of expenses while trying to get rid of an ‘investment’ home my ex saddled us with – I was looking for the redraw to consolidate debts so I could afford to pay them off while I am still looking for work.
The manager admitted the mistake, but told me they couldn’t fix it ‘sorry’ – the basic message was “it sucks to be you” so I lost it. Lucky I was not in the USA and don’t own a gun – ‘going postal’ came briefly to mind.
So now – my residential home is at risk as I can’t pay the balance of the car loan after it was auctioned and I am behind on payments on the ‘investment’ property – even though the bank has 200k of my money. To top it off the roof has begun to leak right over my bed and I also can’t afford to repair it without the ‘redraw’.
On the positive side – “The Smile Sessions” was an interesting listen (and yes, I will get to “Wild Life ” one month soon) – and I have rediscovered the joy of toasted ham and cheese sandwiches (with some good red wine).
WTF??? Are you joking? How can they not fix that? Good luck in getting that straightened out without too much stress.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

@Starr Shine?,
As a text that I did, and I do not know much English, has only the Portuguese version. But as @meanmistermustard said, Google translator is a good resource, despite not getting as good as the original. I’ll try to translate it, it’s good that I improve my English (it will only take a moment).
Nobody told me there'd be days like these!!

I made a fan fiction and it was published! She was good? I would like to hear from you!
Here’s the Google translate version of one paragraph
I will not say I was jealous, but their friendship is truly enviable. One admires the other, one understands the other’s language, the way they look is special. When John began to tell him of the trade, Paul vibrated along with it and came up with a continuation of the melody. He did not find that strange idea. Found it original. For a moment, they stopped talking and talked music with the music.
Yeah, you’re right. It would seem wrong to be jealous of that friendship. I love the visuals you presented here.
The problem is that John demanded that “the nonferrous metals sound like” (that’s when I felt sorry for Martin and musicians). And so it was done.
That made me laugh out loud. I can just see George Martin going, “Eh?” “Let’s see how we’re gonna do this.”

@Starr Shine?,
The “I” may be what you think! I like this arouse in readers, if you think “girlfriend” John, you will identify with the text. If you imagine yourself being a friend of John, you will also be identified. I as the author, and not imagine dating John. My vision was like a friend even.
And @Ahhh Girl , thank you for your comments, glad you enjoyed it, it is very important to me! I did another text, behind the scenes of In My Life . I do not know if it was as good as this, but if you want to read, here’s the link: http://beatlescollege.wordpres…..como-bach/

I’d go hunting for someone to help you out with the bank. If they have so badly screwed up then its their responsibility to get it fixed not shrug their shoulders and go “whoops, sorry!! Oooh, lunch time. If you don’t mind my sandwich is waiting so off you pop”.
I do hope you get everything sorted out @trcanberra and soon. Tho i’d suggest robbing the bank as at least you would be better off financially – at least for a while.
Seriously! Since they know they’re at fault they should fix it. There’s no way they can’t fix it, they have your money and they should be able to override whatever codes there are.
I’m also confused about how you’re behind on the investment property, isn’t the money in the for that, or can they not be paid from that account due to the locks?
They’re stupid and I hope they work it out soon, and give you interest on your money to help with all your other bills.

^ Two different accounts for two different properties, I am ahead on the loan for the house I live in which is the one I should be able to draw upon. The residential one is security for the other one so they will force me to sell if I can’t pay.
Anyhoo – thanks everyone for all the support and kind words – and good advice. When I calm down a little I will start to take some of it.
Oh, and on the ex – I am still untangling that mess but just getting myself thinking positively

Wow! Just wow to the idea of the song being about a shared experience among them and about the “loved you more” being about each other. Very interesting takes on the song! I enjoyed the story thoroughly.

@Rita Eleanor, you’re really good! Most of the google translate issues could be seen through with a moment’s thought. Wouldn’t be a difficult job for a native English speaker, working with you, to come up with a very prosaic English version. Maybe I’ll live to see it! Follow the muse…

I’ve been here in PA a week and a half, finished my first week at my new job, and we’re unpacking and settling in to our new home. Washer and dryer getting delivered today, finally! It’s nice here although I’m quite homesick and being so far away from a major city makes me realize how lucky I was to spend my entire life up to this point on the NH seacoast with Boston only an hour away. There is NOTHING going on here. There’s lots of good family friendly stuff which is awesome for us to do with the kids, what I mean is there is nothing here in terms of music, concert venues (well, there’s an arena in Hershey about 5 minutes away but all they seem to get are bloody country music artists, yuck!), no record stores (I miss Bull Moose Music!) and I’m in the land of country music, hunting and fishing (I love the last two, but it’s EVERYWHERE HERE!). Sorry for my rant…it’s really not that bad, just a big adjustment going from being on the outskirts of a major city to the middle of boring farmland.

DrB, I have family that live in rural PA… Like REALLY rural, so I can understand how strange that can be, especially since I’ve live in/near big cities my whole life.
At least there’s family stuff around, and once you get settled at the new job, maybe you’ll be able to take trips into the city.
Good luck with everything, and I hope your family likes it there.

Your post has so many textures to it for me. I wish high school students received more career and life choice counseling about these types of issues. It would have to be very objective. I could see how counselors and teachers in rural areas might try to tell kids that big cities are awful and vice versa.
They should tell young people that there is more to a job choice than just the job. Yeah, I know, perhaps some of this is common sense, but, I can still wish for these types of lessons to be taught. If you take a job in a small area, you are drastically limiting you choices for health care as well as the types of options/opportunities you mentioned. If you end up not liking your job, rural/small areas don’t offer many (if any) other opportunities. You have to be able and willing to move again. Don’t get yourself geographically bound.
I’m sure what I’ve said here can be torn apart. And someone can certainly come in and put a positive spin on rural/small area living if they want to.

I’ve been running low on money. Thankfully, one of my teachers (God , I love her) lent me twenty dollars to hold me over this weekend until the “permanent” cash comes next week.
I’ve been a smoker for nearly seven years, so suddenly being forced to quit cold turkey gets me on the run (see what I did there?). I get mentally unable to focus, emotionally moody/inconsistent, and physically sick. Also, I have some undiagnosed form of sleep disorder, which I take melatonin for every night and I was about to run out. Without it, it’d be highly likely that I wouldn’t sleep at all, and, even if I did, it wouldn’t be enough.
So, long story short, my teacher is an amazing person.
EDIT: fixed grammar.

Thanks, @Mr. Kite! And @Ahhh Girl, I agree with you! I just think I got so used to a lifetime of always having a major city 50 minutes away so even though I didn’t always go there, if I wanted to for a sporting event, concert, museum, it was so close and easy…it was right THERE. Now, it’s such a struggle to get to a major city (Philly, DC, and Baltimore are all ~2+ hours away), cities I don’t know at all. And the one city I am near (Harrisburg) is kind of scuzzy and not the type of place ANY major band/exhibit/etc will ever come. So that makes me sad. BUT, it’s cheap to live out here, quality of life is good for families, and my wife and kids dig it, so I will adjust over time I’m sure…

Do you suffer from insomnia too, @Necko? I do, and just like you without medication I could go on without sleep for days, until I started to hallucinate I guess (worry not fellows Beatlemaniacs: I’ve never hallucinated). Sometimes it’s 5:00 am and I am still awake. I just read, listen to music, smoke, drink beer, anything –because there’s nothing worse than tossing and turning in the dark. Bummer. I hope we both can sleep naturally, without any medication, in the future. Hang in there, buddy.
