Because of something pulled in my left calf, leaving me barely to move after a couple of days, I haven’t been able to leave the flat since Friday 12 April.Saturday I started to be able to put my foot down, rather than pulling up onto my toes because putting the ball of my foot down had me in agony and more.
Though the calf still is not quite right, still some tightness, I am planning a walk to the shop this evening.
Good luck with your walk– I hope you’re healed soon.
Why I came: I just found out that by some miracle I managed to pass my placement test retake, so I can take Honors Precalc next year without fighting any legal battles

He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Soaking in a hot bath may help loosen the muscles.

Well, the walk to the shop has been managed – and compared to the nearly hour (for a ten minute walk) it took me 11 days ago, I managed it in 22 minutes.
A bath with soaks is definitely a good idea, @Ahhh Girl, and for more reasons than it relaxing the muscle, and one is planned for tonight. I haven’t had a bath in a week-and-a-half. You don’t jump in the bath when you live alone if you’re unsure you’re going to be able to get out of it.
So, plan was, do the walk, then soak in the bath to try and ease any aggravation the walk’s done to the muscle.
The walk has been managed, the bath is running.
Let’s hope my calf is no worse tomorrow.

My childhood cat, Tigger, used to disappear for days on end, especially when she discovered Bruno 9 doors down…
We ended up with kittens.

He’s mostly an outdoor cat, but he’s just a kitten and he has some kind of respiratory problems. And of course there’s hawks and coyotes and wild animals roaming around… I’m worried about him. 🙁

I hope he is found safe and well.
Currently, life is good for me. I’m a bit stressed out over my imminent exams, but I’m happy because I’ve started speaking regularly to a close friend again after drifting apart for a while, it’s amazing weather, and I just finished watching a really good film called Before Sunrise.

I have exams soon but I’m not worried about them because I am a) overconfident and b) a little bit high on happiness because I finished my paper, and that was a much bigger shadow hanging over me than exams. Mostly the It’s Amazing Weather part.

I’m afraid I don’t relate about the not-stressing-over-exams part, but I feel the same way about the weather. It’s been in the eighties all day here, with a beautiful blue sky and a perfect breeze.

Hah, I read that as “Fiddy” and I was like what did I do?!?
My condolences, that sounds very monotonous. But hey, at least you don’t have five piles of chemistry homework that you don’t understand (like yours truly) right?

No no, that’s not what I meant– your homework doesn’t sound fun either, you still have a right to complain. I wasn’t trying to invalidate your problems, I’m sorry if it came across that way.
Best of luck, dear Fiddy.
Thank you kindly, I shall need it.

I know that’s not what you meant. That’s what I meant. By all means invalidate my problems if they’re not serious — I’ve finished my homework anyway and it wasn’t that bad.

In the grand scheme of things, neither of our (homework-related) problems are really that bad– but you can’t think about that or you’ll start to feel guilty for every negative emotion you experience :/
Glad you managed to get your homework done, though. I’ve given up on mine, I’m just going to beg my friends for help with it tomorrow.
