My mother used to work as a pharmacy technician and, being the sort of person who absolutely MUST share her experiences with someone ANYONE or she’ll explode, would regale us with endless Tales of the Great Stupid Public — you wouldn’t believe the amount of people who screech at pharmacists/techs for things completely out of their control like insurance that doesn’t work, prices of medication being too high, the fact that they had to wait so long in the drive-through that they’re running out of gasoline*…
*This one was a particularly magnificent example. To this day, we still bring it up as a golden example of pointless, logically tenuous blame.

Yikes, that’s a very risky topic to do in school. I like unbiased debates as much as the next person, but there is definitely a line with that and having to justify Naziism.

Speaking of things that annoy me, we’re doing an activity in History that’s basically our own version of the Nuremberg Trials. In my infinite luck (yes that is sarcastic) the teacher made me a defense attorney, so I have to try to convince a jury of extremely biased classmates not to convict the four Nazi defendants of war crimes and crimes against humanity– problem is, from what I can tell, all four are guilty of both of those things.
Oooh. Good luck, Fiddy.

Exactly. We did a trial last semester, but that was on the causes of WWI, it was totally fine. (Still an impossible case, but no one cared if they had to defend Gavrilo Princip against the jury.) But asking me to defend the Nazis seems incredibly unreasonable. Oh, and as part of our grade we have to show up at the trial in costume, so the defendants have to dress up as Nazis.
Edit: This is, what the fourth Fiddy in two pages? The fifth? The sixth? The millionth?

Whoa, what?? They’re making people dress up as Nazis? Is that legal?

Well he didn’t explicitly say “dress up as Nazis” but he said “Dress as close to your character as you can” and their characters are Nazis, so…
I suppose that’s one thing I can be glad about– I just have to dress as an attorney. Not that I’m sure what that entails… attorneys don’t normally wear jeans, do they?

Perhaps this will be of some help: https://www.thebalancecareers……de-2164257
I’d say just go with something lowkey businesslike. Khakis, white shirt, close-toed shoes, maybe nick your dad’s tie for extra credit.

Right, I’m sure bringing a firearm to school will get me a good grade!
Lol, I didn’t even see that, I was too bemused by her legal power stance. I wonder why it’s just floating around in her vicinity like that.

“No denim of any type or color”– crap!
Ah well, I’ll figure something out… It’s only worth forty points, I won’t worry about it too much. I’ll try to write an extra-good closing statement to compensate.

I think it’s in a plastic bag, maybe it’s evidence?
Or not…
Oh and apparently that outfit is a “classic Polish gown.”

Being a stock photographer must be such an interesting job, not knowing what weird corners of the internet your photos are gonna be dissected in and laughed at.

It’d be interesting to talk to the photographer who shot the ‘Distracted Boyfriend’ meme photo and the other photos in that series.

Uh…what?
Well, they don’t have to… they can choose not to, and get points off their grade… (this is the smiley of the day today)
