So we’re cooking a spit lamb for our Christmas lunch with 9 other relatives (that’s lunch for 12)… and the metal bar that goes through it just sheared clean in two, so we now have a quite raw spit in many pieces…
Time to ring some relatives to see if they have a spare bar, quickly!

Offline Interesting choice considering how propane is used when you want a clean burning fuel that doesn’t alter the taste of the food yet charcoal is used when you want to alter the taste of the food. You must’ve used the propane to heat up the charcoal.

Offline That’s correct. Because the propane source was far enough away from the meat, and also down very low, you can’t taste it.

Hope your meal went okay, Holey.
I haven’t eaten all day, deliberately, because I’m going to a steakhouse at 7pm. Big order coming up. 
Last few days I’ve gone up Diamond Head State Monument, done the Jurassic Park falls trail, and today gone on the Atlantis submarine. Pearl Harbour tour tomorrow. Still have two weeks of activities to go.

Offline Okay, could someone please help out and point me to the TV remote…?
No, that one’s the set-underneath box, and the other one is the DVD.
I can follow it all around where I am sat on the sofa. Beside me on the right set-underneath box and DVD remotes, tub of mixed roasted nuts, half a pack of wasabi and ginger crisps. In front of me untidy and cluttered coffee table with laptop, bottle of toffee apple cider…
ashtray with half-smoked joint, rolling tray, lighter, spare lighter…
…bottle opener. Radio Times to my left telling me I need to change channels soon and leave the set-underneath box to its taping, towel and… no! who’s moved the TV remote? I need it!!!
I will look away for ten minutes and then, whichever one of you it is, we’ll not mention it again so long as it’s back in its place…
Otherwise, how will I watch Law & Order: Criminal Intent in half-hour? Put the remote back and we’ll say no more…

I read this as celsius rather than Fahrenheit and was really freaked out for a moment for your brother and his friend’s welfare

I don’t blame you, I’ve never been myself but from what I understand from the Beach Boys it’s pretty warm out there. We British are similarly wimps about the heat.
