@WETSRoosa, may you always have all of the good (memories of kindness) and none of the bad (car troubles) each time you pass through that town to see your parents.

How are you today? I’m the laziest person on the planet. I’ve done with my school stuff (acctuakky I have to start writing diploma…) but I have a lot to do in the house and around the house. But all day I’m just reading a book, son is in pre – school (that’s how we said when a child is in the last year of daycare) and I’m doing nothing At the evening I’m going to the film festival, I hope it will be fun… But the bad part of the festival is that my ex is going to be there and I don’t want to see him

My parents are fine with me drinking, although I’m not a big drinker because I never get that alcohol buzz, I just get really sleepy. The most I ever have in one sitting is a shot of whiskey or something.
That’s cool of them, like Ahhh said, (hopefully) teaching you to drink responsibly. Officially, I got to share a beer with dad after a hot day’s work on some project starting at about 15. But he was an alcoholic, so wine was easy to steal (during his wine phase), if one was so inclined. I spent a month with him when I was just 17 and all we had for nutrition calories in the flat was beer! Not exactly teaching responsible drinking there…although despite his illness he was a good man
And sorry for the geography error, I assumed from your casual tone that you were in a place where the drinking laws were more lax

@AbbeyRoadRage yeah math is terrible. I’m a sophomore too, but I’m taking geometry for the first time this year not Algebra. I thought it would be easier but its not at all
Ok, two of you hate math, I have to chime in and say I love it! Anyone else?

Looks like math has us divided. For some it is a plus. For some it is a minus. Will the number of posts about math multiply?

I’m sure it all adds up, especially if we show how we work it out.
The Scottish Independence Referendum is coming down fast and some people have called for folk in the rest of the UK to phone up their Scottish friends and family to try and convince us to stay. Even worse the three leaders of Labour, the Liberal Democrats and the Conservatives think its a good idea to come up and visit us for a few days to tell us how much they love us.
Can’t those coming up with these ideas see how much they are going to backfire!! We detest Cameron, Clegg and Milliband and dont trust anything they utter, especially as it now comes across as a desperate last minute attempt to get us to stay as it looks like we might be leaving. It all feels like a husband trying to get his wife to stay after she has packed her bags following years of feeling neglected and is now unable to believe a word he says – and to help his cause he is getting his friends to text her that he really doesnt want her to go.
Better Together really only had to not balls it all up to have a good chance of us staying yet thats exactly what they have done and now it looks like we could be on our way. Their campaign would have been faired far better if the politicians hadnt of gotten involved in the first place.

No worries. For future reference, I’m from the states. Currently living in Montana.

I have a dilemma at school. There’s this guy I’ve been flirting with a little (and staring at a lot ) We have some friends in common and they all say he’s going to ask me to homecoming which is in 2 weeks. The problem is I really don’t want to go to homecoming- I hate dressing up, I hate dancing. Just not my scene. I wouldn’t want to go and be the lame date who just wants to go home. Problem is, I really like the guy in question. I’m trying to figure out a way I can say no to homecoming and still date him. Thoughts?

Yeah but I mean if he really wants to dance then he should do that. I don’t know if he would just ask me out on a regular date. It’s hard to articulate why I have so much anxiety over this.
I don’t know.
It’s been a long week.

@mimi Pretty much what Anna said. Maybe he doesn’t like dances too and is only using it as a chance to ask you!
Just tell him you’d love to be his date, just to anywhere other than prom.

So true. This week has been really weird. Tuesday, was my birthday and I got sick. I was ok Tuesday night, then I woke up on Wednesday and almost fainted. I did not go to school on Wednesday. Thursday, I did not get my class schedule changed because the schools computers decided to go on the fritz. Today, I have no clue what happened. And on top of all of that, the girl, whose name is Jaclyn if you wanted to know, has still not responded. The only emails I get are from colleges who want my money. Should I text her again? Anybody have any more advice?
Look its a thingy! A fiendish thingy!
