My class is alright, except for this one really creepy stalker guy. He seriously has some mental problems. Just today I threw him on the floor with a judo move because he was making me really angry.
Edit: I just realised this is my 400th post. Yay!
I hope that makes the creep think twice before pestering the next person. Well done! Congrats on reaching Shea Stadium.

I’m sorry, I’ll be the Devil’s Advocate here, but I respectfully ask what he did aside from “being creepy” for you to throw him on the floor. I’ve practiced Wu Zu, Aikido and Karate and I was always taught not to engage in a fight unless attacked. Why didn’t you just tell the authorities what he told you and the other girls?

You should probably tell the teacher instead of “warning” him yourself. Not that you shouldn’t defend yourself if he attacks you, but I’ve heard about cases where a kid has punched a bully and the bully reported it and got the kid suspended while he was left alone. Just be wary and try not to escalate the situation.
As for myself, this year is already worse than last year. Most of my friends from last year are all gone either because they moved away or graduated like that girl who still has not replied. Most of my classes are boring except for my English class. I changed into AP Chem from AP Physics and that was a horrible choice. The chem teacher is bipolar and does not like me and I had to switch PE classes and the new on is a very rough crowd, lots of fighting. And on top of all of that I now have a cold which is currently giving me a severe headache

@Beatleva I’m sorry you’re having to deal with someone like that, however the right thing to do is to get together with the other girls he has offended and report him. Any response like using judo moves on him unless he is physically threatening you could leave you open to a criminal charge of assault. The best way to deal with the situation is to tell those whose job it is to deal with such situations. Don’t put yourself in a situation where you are the one who gets into trouble.
@UnidentifiedFiendishThingy You’re only a few days into the new school year, hopefully it will improve.

This is my second week of my sophomore year of high school. I’m not too worried about any of my classes—with the exception of that which is the bane of my existence: algebra. I suffered through a year of it in eight grade, and last year, I had a break with geometry. I grasped the material without a problem, and I finished the class with a 96 on my final exam. Of course algebra is very different, and once again I find myself sitting, confused, each day in class. Right now we’re going over the “basics,” things we apparently learned at some point. I, of course, have next to no memory of all the ins and outs of solving these problems and I must spend extra time studying these skills which, according to the teacher, shouldn’t be too challenging.
I’m also taking chemistry this year. I understand there’s some more complex math involved, and hopefully I’ll be able to deal with it, especially since I’ve always done well in science. It’s the only class in which I’ve received 100 after 100 on each exam, including the final last year.

I’ve made my views on math known. I better shut my trap lest I encourage your utter hatred for it. You don’t need my negative attitude weighing you down. Oops, just by making this post, I’m not helping you at all.
@AbbeyRoadRage, Please, please me and do well in algebra and chemistry this year. It is just one of those rites of passage into adulthood.
Oh, and by-the-way, my mom thinks your user name is really creative and cool.

At least I know I’m not alone! And I assure you I will do my best. I suppose if I keep studying a little each day, I ought to be able to do all right.
You know, when I joined the forum, I was quite pleased with my user name, and it’s great to hear others like it too.

@Hey Jude (Hope this is the right one as there are two Hey Jude ‘s who come up when @-ing!) You slept while we were making world changing pronouncements! How very inconsiderate! You should be awake 24/7 and looking for the next words of wisdom to be uttered here.
Sleeping! Bah! Don’t do it again!
@LittleBeatlemaniac So, were you in hospital when you joined us and waiting for surgery? Was it something that came on sudden, as often happens with the appendix? If it’s gotta go then it’s gotta go! And I bet you’re feeling better for it (especially with a week off a school!).
Surgery’s never fun (I had to have a heart op a few weeks ago so have recent knowledge), but it’s all over and done with. You can only have your appendix out once!
Take it easy, be well, and look after yourself.

@LittleBeatlemaniac, I hope you’re doing okay now.
Anyway, I know I shouldn’t have thrown him on the floor, but I kind of lost my temper. He pretends I’m his girlfriend or something like that and this time he said something that really crossed the line. I don’t want to say it on here because it is kinda…well…inappropriate, if that’s the right word for it. That is also the reason for me not telling the teachers. But I have decided that if he says one more thing that I find going too far, I’ll report it (together with the other girls).

@Beatleva It’s understandable that you lost your temper. Jerks get what jerks deserve, and he obviously deserved it. I’m pleased to hear that if acts in the same way again, you’ll take a deep breath, walk away, and report him. Remember always, you should never be embarrassed by things he says. He should be embarrassed for saying them. It might be awkward to repeat to a teacher, but the fact that you are so uncomfortable with whatever he said is every reason to report him if anything like it happens again. You can’t spend your whole school year worrying about a creep if that’s the way he keeps on acting. It shouldn’t be your problem, you should make it his if he carries on being disrespectful. Whatever happens to him should you need to take it to a teacher he has done to himself.

Hope you’ll recover soon!
Currently enjoying my day off. I’m the exact opposite of last year. Last year I was such a workaholic and I incredibly busy with school, work and my internship. I’m now unemployed and incredibly unmotivated for school. I also don’t understand half of what I have to do. And there was me thinking I was intelligent.

Well, we visited my parents for the weekend, which went amazingly well (for a while we didn’t have the best relationship with them but that’s all changed) but then the car overheated and died while coming back home. Always fun being stuck in a small town you’ve never been in where you don’t know anyone. On the flip side, the guys who fixed the van were very nice, the hotel manager heard about what happened to us and gave us a 25% discount on a room for the night (since this happened on a Sunday and all the repair shops were closed until the next day), the hotel was actually clean and decent (especially for a Days Inn), and the car payment wasn’t as costly as we feared it would be. So now life is back to normal… for now.
