I’ve finally found myself a part time job in the dairy department at my local supermarket and am starting mid May. I went to see the Australian Music Vault in the city on Friday. It was great to get an understanding on the history and culture of Australian music. I would reccomend it to any other Melbournian BB’s.

I went to my first ice-hockey match yesterday, I won’t say who played but it was really enjoyable, despite having no idea why it kept getting stopped, and I hope to find more to go to without having to travel too far. There is also a basketball game on in two weeks I intend to go to.

After the result against West Brom I might agree.

I had an absolutely spectacularly wonderful birthday party yesterday. I had my wonderful crazy friends, lots of good music and food (in that order a-hard-days-night-john-6), wild dancing, beautiful drawings, and sweet jams. I couldn’t have asked for a better day. beatlemaniacs_02_gif

And then the power went out, which made it a lot more magical ahdn_john_08_gif

I went to the recent Partick Thistle v Aberdeen 0-0 draw. It was a horrific game played in the freezing cold. If I’m off I’ll probably go their Friday night game v Ross County in a couple of weeks. paul-mccartney-facepalm_gif

The general feeling amongst some of the Partick fans is that Archibald (the manager) could get them relegated into the second division over the next three years, plunge the club into astounding levels of debt and sell the ground to a wandering nomad for some magic beans and the board would still back him.

You have had four season to get used to such performances as yesterday’s loss at Old Trafford; the performance was no worse than many under Moyes or van Gaal. I did like Mourinho blaming the players for playing so aimlessly and slowly when it’s his job to get them going and make changes where necessary. The tactics were pass it around with no haste until boredom sets in at which point boot it forward in blind hope if the ball hadn’t been given away beforehand.

Indeed – situation normal unfortunately. I’ve watched almost every game this season on the TV and we’ve been dire far too often. Kind of odd since we seem to have a decent squad nowadays.

Decent squad, average team helped in no way by a largely negative manager who is happy to go for a 1-0 borefest but is continually ending with dropped points. The defeat against Sevilla could be seen coming by everyone bar the English media who portrayed Sevilla as some chancers who couldn’t compete.

The reports that Carrick and Young were the ones who rallied the team for the Man City comeback says everything. For Man U to improve Jose has to go however the board are happy with CL cash, a trophy and pointing to Man City whilst wailing about how good they are

I am currently picking my modules for credits for the next year while I’m in Germany. I’m trying to give myself Thursdays-Sundays off so I can go travelling, go home, cry, whatever reasonably uninterrupted. Such a pain in the ass though as the college I’m going to insists on having classes on Monday&Wednesday or Tuesday&Thursday.

I’ve now ended up with the weirdest combination of subjects as I’m trying to only have classes Monday-Wednesday. Here is how it looks at the moment:

Grammar- B2

Speaking- B2

Listening- B2

Writing- B2

German Through Film- C1

and my favourite of them all:

Contrastive phonetics- C1 (which I have no idea what the hell it is!).

Also, I’m meant to be taking business modules but the college can get f**ked if they try to stir things up about it, I didn’t even want to go to Germany in first semester but yet here I am!

The sad thing is I’ll probably end up going to Germany and being told “l0l sorry none of your classes are available so you’re going to have to do a load of random ones on Thursday and Friday ahdn_john_08_gif“.

Which would, at least, give you Saturday to Wednesday off. Back in the day, I remember having classes, ooo, oftentimes, five days out of every seven! Disgraceful ’twas!

I know Martha was thinking of going to the college I’m going to. I know she’s decided but I’m not sure if she’s going where I am.

I looked at a brief YouTube video and I think this is what it is:

Maybe, I don’t know. I also don’t know how you can make an hour and a half class a week out of that but sure I just want to get my 40 ECTS so I can move on with my life.

Of course I meant including Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. I would not balk at Saturday to Wednesday off RN, get those sweet weekday discounts for lodgings if I have Monday and Tuesday off.
