Or just forget Ireland and go to Scotland, it’s far nicer.
Oy! Sure ya can’t understand Scots anyway, at least the Irish talk normally! And ye don’t even have a Guinness Storehouse, Tayto Park (yes, a theme park centering around crisps), and an island that was in Star Wars!
Look at the enthusiasm for Ireland

I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.

I’ve been feeling rather ill and faint for the past week and this is my first proper day in university since I’ve become ill. At the moment I feel quite faint and wrecked tired so I’ve decided to sit in on 2 random lectures so I can sit in the same place and hopefully get some shut eye if the lectures are busy enough. My own lecture doesn’t start until 4 and it’s now 2.
At the minute I think I’m in a management lecture, I don’t know what the next one will be.
Will keep y’all updated

Management lecturer looks like Kelsey Grammer-very boring, no pictures on slides. Potential cure for insomnia found.

Managed (heh pun intended) to get a bit of a rest for 15 minutes. Lecture hall is now empty bar about 6 people. Don’t know if another class is coming in or if it’s just going to be and the Mandarin speakers.

^I didn’t do much to be honest. I was working in the morning and early afternoon but I managed to catch the last 15 minute minutes or so of the Dublin parade on the telly. I always love laughing at the poor American groups who come over expecting good weather and are doing their routines in light dresses, with ballet flats, when it’s like 4 degrees out. Bless their hearts.
Apart from that, I stayed at home and had a lie-down between 5pm-6pm. I went to sleep at 9:30 and was awoken by my brother, coming home from the pubs at about 3am. He lay down on the couch in the sitting room (which is right next door to my room), and began talking to his friends on WhatsApp. I crawled to his door and told him “shut up, I’m trying to sleep”.
That was my Paddy’s day.
(I also forgot to put on any green, I was wearing all blue yesterday…woops. Blue was Patrick’s original colour though so do I still get Irish points?)
I’m still wrecked tired, I go to bed between 9pm-10pm, sleep for 10-12 hours or so, wake up and feel as if I’ve just run a marathon. I’m also waking up having kicked off the majority of my duvet so maybe I am actually running a marathon in my sleep…. .
If I’m not feeling better Thursday I’m going to the doctor’s. My mother is afraid I have CFS/ME but I don’t think I’m that bad. Like, I can still walk long distances, I’d just need a lie down afterwards which I wouldn’t have beforehand. I was watching The Great British Bake Off last night and had to lie flat out on the armchair because I couldn’t keep sat-up for an hour.
At the doc’s, I’ll probably have to get blood tests which I am frankly not looking forward to but these things can’t be helped. I’ll update you all anyways if I do go to the doc’s and when the results come back.

@AppleScruffJunior: Hope everything goes OK at the Doc’s. I’ve had my share of blood tests, they’re never fun,but fingers crossed they can do something for you.
I have Irish in my family,we had a few drinks in town, then went home, watched the Liverpool game on the telly (was going to watch it out,but it started snowing) while having *a few Guinness’s and listening to the Rattle and Hum album by U2.
*Yeah right, should read ‘a few more than I should have had’
Still writing the words to the sermon that no one will hear......

I have a French speaking exam tomorrow, which runs past the time I leave school. I’m a little nervous, but at the same time, feel like I know what I’m doing. (I’ve got my mind set on vous/tu!)
