If you’re extremely fortunate, you may experience a time when everything in the cosmos aligns perfectly and you think that nothing could possibly be better than this moment. If you’re fortunate beyond that, something happens that kicks everything into overdrive and your mind becomes nearly irretrievably blown away… Words fail you.

The revised draft of my English paper was due yesterday. I’ve had it finished for a week, but wouldn’t you know it, at the last minute I COMPLETELY FORGOT TO SUBMIT THE PAPER. I remembered this morning and felt a great fool.I probably would’ve remembered had I not gone out dancing last night… which was so terribly fun, I think it may have been worth it… but I still shouldn’t have forgotten. Completely stupid mistake. I can only hope my professor takes pity on me, but I’m not counting on it
Apparently my prof accepts late papers, thank goodness. Phew!

I’m currently having my room decorated. Hoping to put up my Pink Floyd poster from my copy of DSotM and perhaps buy some Beatles and Beach Boys ones off Amazon when it’s done.
Well, I have three posters up so far: the one from my DSotM album which is a collage of Pink Floyd performing live (I’m trusting you know which one I’m talking about @Beatlebug…), a huge Small Faces one and the Beatles poster I already had where they are filming the Rain promo in Studio 2 (I took a picture of the latter one and posted it in some thread a few months ago.)
Other than that: I HATE HALF TERM HOLIDAY HOMEWORK/REVISION WITH A BURNING PASSION!!!! It’s All Too Much for me to take, and science can just feck off!

I’m a teacher. I feel your pain. I spend most of the holidays planning and resourcing for the next term. Holidays? What holiday??

^^ Ooh, if we’re talking posters then I recently put up my Disaster Artist poster (if you haven’t seen both it and The Room yet, do so immediately) above my Paddington 2 poster above my bed. That’s basically all of my walls covered in poster

he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Why? You don’t even know how she was as a juror. You want to give her that award just because she said she was on a jury??? Like there is no other context. I don’t understand ??????

I’ve only met a couple people who were given jury duty and actually selected. AG was selected twice in a row. That must say something about her ability.

If the US is anything like the UK, when selected for jury service, you are selected for a number of days. In the UK it is ten working days (two weeks). The trial I was on lasted nearly the whole two weeks, and those on our jury were discharged at its end. However, because those on jury service all gathered in the same room when we arrived in the morning, I know there were many who were selected for shorter trials did more than the one trial.
I would imagine it is the same for AG, that she has been selected for a number of days, and because the first trial was relatively quick, there is time for her to be on the jury of another. It would surprise me if others that were a part of her jury were not also being selected to sit on other trials.

Neither side in either case found me unfit to sit in the jury box. That’s a nice feeling.
RN hit the nail on the head about the process. 4 people from the first jury I was on are on this one also.

There was an earthquake in Swansea Wales about an hour or so ago. It measured 4.9 on the Richter scale, and I felt it in Liverpool (I was sat on my bed,and the bed started shaking).
Did any of our other UK chatters feel it?
I’m in Poole and didn’t feel anything. Nothing I was aware of anyway. It has been felt around here and a bit further afield towards Southampton if the images I’ve seen are anything to go by.

@merrymunky: Yeah that tallies with what I’ve seen too. Sky News are now saying it measured 4.4, and could be felt in Liverpool Manchester Birmingham and Cornwall. Biggest earthquake to hit the UK in a decade apparently
I’m not sure how I didn’t feel it then. No idea what I was doing. What time did it hit?
