Currently getting used to being back at school, enjoying the fact that Friends is now on Netflix, and exploring some other artist’s discographies such as Prince (Are you proud, @PurplishRain ?)
I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Offline My Atlanta Falcons face off against the LA Rams in the first round of the playoffs.

I also saw a movie in theaters today. I saw “All The Money In The World,” I think it’s called. The one about the Getty kidnapping. I enjoyed it.

My sister got me a year’s membership for the Silent Film Society of Chicago for Christmas, so I actually went to see a movie two days in a row. I saw the 1921 Harold Lloyd comedy A Sailor-Made Man with a live organist. The short Billy Blazes Esq. (1919) was shown beforehand.

Offline I will probably have to take an internet break for a few days as I’m having laptop problems. It seems there’s something wrong with two of the three USB ports – which would appear to be the reason I’ve been having problems with the interweb keeping disconnecting me. So, it looks like it needs to go in for repair, and it may be doing so this afternoon. If not this afternoon, then within the next couple of days.

The annoying thing is I reckon the problem has been there all along as I’ve had internet problems almost as long as I’ve had this laptop. It’s got a lot worse the past week, and I couldn’t get anything this morning.
Using the right side port, I’m having no problems with my 3 dongle, though it won’t accept the Vodafone dongle (which hopefully will just prove a faulty installation as it was installed on a left side port, and those are the two which are faulty).
Depending how costs and that look, I may get away with just getting a USB hub and reinstalling the Vodafone dongle for the time-being.

Offline Am in Hamburg currently, been here since Saturday.
According to my German entrance exam I’m at C1 level (woohoo!). C2 is native so there’s great hope for me yet.
Haven’t got to see any Beatley-things, and I don’t think I will as I’m in school until dusk and I don’t really fancy the idea of walking around the St. Pauli and Reeperbahn area at night by myself. Not to fret as I’ll go see all the sites next year when I’m on Erasmus.
