I need help…
Right so my mother is a big Catholic trouble is I’m not, I don’t like the Catholic Church for personal reasons. I have told her that I don’t consider myself to be a Catholic and yet she keeps on forcing me to go to mass 
Despite me saying how hypocritical it is, she insists that I go to it- I don’t want to make her upset by telling her why I don’t want to go and I don’t want to be a 5 year old and hide for the duration of mass.

Offline No, sadly not. But every review of it has said its a great fun place to be and you can meet some of the great people in Beatleworld. And im not envious at all, nope, not in the slightest.

@UnidentifiedFiendishThingy, I was going to say the same thing. I see you are trying an email…another thing to try might be a free card that notifies you when she reads it. Do that at your own risk though – it can be heartbreaking!

You can do that with emails too, read receipts. However you don’t want to send her too many messages, because she may feel weird about it then. Maybe she’ll get back to you on her own soon.

That is a tough situation to be in, @AppleScruffJunior . If you can’t tell your mother why you don’t like it, it’s hard to raise a reasonable (to her) objection. Have you tried asking her why it is so important to her that you attend?

Offline I’m not sure what you can do @AppleScruffJunior apart from explaining why it is you dont want to attend (in a nice way) and hearing from your mam why its so important to her for you to go and see if you both can come to an understanding – tho that might not be very easy.
It might be that until she lets you make these decisions for yourself and lets you get on with your own path that you either refuse to go, potentially causing tension between you both, or you suck it up for the hour or so it last and then run out as soon as you can thanking whoever for your freedom.
