My brother used to work as a carer in private- HATED it. Very few workers, and very long shifts. He got into a public nursing home during the summer and was over the moon with joy.

Offline I’m eating a sandwich, deciding what movie to watch. I may go to the state fair alone tomorrow, or Thursday with my ex-girlfriend and some sorority girls. It is cool outside so I had all the windows open earlier. Now just the bedroom window is open. The cats are near it.

I understand your pain, @Ahhh Girl… I thoroughly smashed mine up about a month ago. I found that cellophane over the screen worked well as a temporary fix if you don’t want glass shards in your fingertips.
Get ready for the ‘How’d you break your screen?’ comments… even though everyone does it the same way: they drop their phones, of course. I started coming up with alternative answers after a bit, like ‘Oh, I dropped it in Africa while the elephants were stampeding’ or ‘it happened at the opera during the lead soprano’s aria’ etc., etc.

I get the question ‘so what do you want to do when you grow up’ a lot, and I’m so sick of it that you’ve inspired me to answer with this forevermore: ‘a hairdresser’.

Offline I had one phone that just cracked on it’s own. I left it on a table over night, when I woke up there was a hair sized crack going down the middle of it.

Offline I have cracked two phone screens and neither time was from dropping the phone. The first time was from smashing my phone on concrete (like deliberately) and the second time was from falling while my phone was in my hand.
