…Just got back from a cycling expedition through the strenuous (read: NOT) terrain of the local neighbourhood.
I’m *puff* so *pant* out of *gasp* shape. *Phew!*

Our dog Lily had stiches and staples removed yesterday. Two weeks ago, we had a fatty lump (non cancerous) removed from her. Normally, you leave those things alone, but this one was starting to irritate her when she walked, given the location between the pit of her front leg and her chest. Anyway, for the past two weeks, we have had to severely limit her activities in order to prevent her from jumping or running – anything that would cause a pulling of the staples. This was no easy task as our little Terrier (Terror?) is a bundle of energy who loves to go for walks/runs/hikes. So, when we got home from the Vet’s office, I took her for a walk. It started out like this…After that, it was all a blur. The Tasmanian Devil has nothing on our Lily.
I would love for Lily and Sacher Torte to get together for a play date.

Ahhh Girl, Beatlebug, WeepingAtlasCedars, SgtPeppersBulldog, ZigI've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

I managed to catch the corner of my car on the pillar coming into my house last night- f**k, f**k, and fuckity f**k f**k. The parents are ok with it because as they say “at least I didn’t hit another car, or a person” but I’m just pure embarrassed. I’ve never got even a tiny little scratch in my car in the 2 years I’ve been driving it, and now I’ve got bloody great scrapes along the right side of my car (on the bottom panel).
I think I’ll have a go with the old toothpaste trick tomorrow, I’m not even angry with myself, I just can’t believe I let it happen.

So, I’ve got two concerts today in front of over 10,000 people. 6 months of rehearsals, and spending all of last week in the venue… and today’s the day.
(by the way, 41 songs, 64-piece orchestra, 1500 mass choir, 1500 mass dance, 20 principal vocalists, 20 other vocalists, and numerous crew… statistically, it’s bigger than a Beyonce concert.)
I’m not nervous…

Whose leg? The conductor’s?
Good thing we’re talking in English and not in German because over here one says ‘break a leg and a neck‘ *
Anyway, I hope your concert was spectacular!!!

Even though it finished twelve hours ago, I’m still on an adrenaline rush, as it was in front of 10000 people. It was without a doubt spectacular…

Just spent most of the afternoon attempting to record ‘Endlessly’ by Muse. I had some technical difficulties, but I think I’ve found a decent application…
It’s originally a keyboard-based song; I finger-picked it on my Strat, and my poor wee finger-pads ain’t used to that so (say it with me folks)…
I GAT BLISTAS AUMMA FINGAHS! <– pretend that’s a Ringo
(Actually it’s just the one, the ring finger, that complains. I suppose I ought to toughen it up.)

I found out today that I’ve lost eight pounds in the past two months (I don’t have a scale at home so I only get weighed at doctors offices). My goal was to actually lose 15 pounds, but it doesn’t really seem doable to lose seven more. I think I’d have to starve myself, but that’s not really worth it to me. I’m happy about it, but I kind of feel lost now, because it has been my goal to get where I am now for a while.
